RE: What will UC's answer be to out of conference scheduling?
We have some of the worst scheduling in the country. Basketball and football. It's like the administration has blinders on and only schedules one way, bring in the no name schools and beat the stink out of them and hope you don't lose at home. I don't quite understand while other schools seem to have no problem, Cincinnati would prefer playing against Alabama A & T rather than a big time school. IT makes no sense to me whatsoever. Not to mention, who wants to watch that in Cincinnati. they wonder why attendance sucks, it's because scheduling sucks !!!

How many times can you type Alabama AT and avoid Purdue, Illinois, OSU, VaTech, Toledo, BYU etc.?

I don't think Texas, Notre Dame and USC are lining up to play us OOC. I think UC has done a good job in recent years getting the Purdues Virginia Techs and BYUs to Nippert . The last minute conference reshuffling has hand tied us the last couple years.

Yes; the conference uncertainty has made scheduling nearly impossible. Let's hope we're looking back at this thread and laughing in a few short months when we're in the ACC.

RE: What will UC's answer be to out of conference scheduling?
Historically, we've played a very respectable non-conference slate. Trust me, there are many fans of other teams out there who wish they have played some of the teams we have over the last several years. Since we joined the BE in 2005, we've played the following non-conference opponents:
Oklahoma (2x)
Virginia Tech (2x)
Oregon State (2x)
NC State (2x)
Ohio State
Penn State
Tennessee
Illinois
But I agree with others that the conference situation is going to make future scheduling very tough unless you're happy with one and dones on the other team's field.

Sorry. Decedent is a word I use a lot in my line of work and I guess it comes out just naturally (and no, I do not work in the mortuary business).

People my post was not about the 2013 or 2014 schedule. It was about after the conference changes in 2015 when UC OOC schedule get really bad except for BYU. Playing Tulane, Memphis, ECU, SMU, Houston, Temple are just not enough to get any ranking high enough to be in the hunt for BCS type bowl games. OOC scheduling are going to be key in playing in the big time.

If we are still in this conference in 2015, our OOC schedule will be the least of our worries.

With the coming of the new BE UC strength of schedule and out of conference games like Alabama A & M, Ohio, Toledo, Stoneybrook and other the only bowls we will be invited to is the toilet bowl.. And when you lump this in with ESPN Yuesday, Wednesday, Thursday games the fan base will rapidly disappear. This is very sad.
It will be a very good, experienced Toledo team that will visit Nippert.
Unlike the Rocket team with only 8 starters returning this past season.
UT will probably have Rodney Adams, Alonzo Russell, Corey Jones as the receiving corp with Michael Julian at QB. That isn't your typical MAC talent.
