Nothing will change until we win in the Big Dance and advance. Same as last year. With the RPI, league and tourney champ we get an 8 seed. If we go on a roll this year, with the recruits coming in next year, we will return to the national spotlight. Another one and done, I'm afraid it may be worst next year. However, with the schedule next year we should not have to go through this.[/align]

if we win in the tourney against a "top 25" opponent does that count for the bashers on here? Is two-for-one ok in march?

Not sure, but early season isn't the best predictor of how teams will be playing late in the season, or how good they will be at season's end.
Also, we were missing one of our starters (Geron) in Atlantis, and hadn't yet "discovered" another of our starters (DJ). Our lineup and rotation are quite a bit different now... probably more different than most teams. Shaq wasn't starting, either.
So that's 3/5 of our starting lineup that's new-look at this point in the season relative to Atlantis. Fair to say (almost) that it's a "different team" in some respects.
We also weren't prepared to play that level of competition:
We were coming off of games v CBC; N. Florida & Samford
VCU had alread tough game v Wichita State
Minnesota & Duke had played a good # of teams by that point as well
We had NOT played enough games; Nor played a respectable level of comp ( CBC; N. Florida & Samford) before going there....In adittion to the issue with Geron
