Shouldn't there be an East West Virginia College? 03-wink

Or a South North Carolina U?
In the future, some people on our board have suggested changing our name from ETSU to UofET similar to what Memphis did and MTSU is trying to do.

For those who don't know much about Tennessee, the 3 stars on the Tennessee flag represent the 3 distinct regions of Tennessee. There's east Tennessee, which is mostly mountainous terrain. Central Tennessee is rolling hill country. And west Tennessee is lowland plains to the Mississippi River. Tennessee is more like 3 distinct states, with a common government, than it is one state...

As a JMU fan in Kingsport, I'm pretty pumped. I hope I never have to watch JMU in JC because we've moved up, but I'll definitely catch a few games there. Hoping for a SoCon invite...Congrats!

This is generating so much interest around this area. Numerous people people have already said that they are buying season tickets and bricks. (I wonder if there will be a back order for season tickets like ODU.)

While in Johnson City two weeks ago, I heard from a reliable source that negotiations have been going on with Phil Fulmer. ETSU is also planning on building a new outdoor stadium rather than play in "The Cylinder" (their indoor stadium, which may go to the School of Medicine).

Phillip Fulmer was in the Mini-Dome one Friday, and people have said he's coach or he's just a big doner/consultant to the program. The Mini-Dome will not be used for football.(It will be used for basketball still until a new arena is built.),but besides basketball it will used for physical traning and health.
