well, ok, but it wasn't old news, I don't think.

I really don't know, but obviously I depend on you folk as much as anything. I wish I knew what happened because I thought Favor would be excited about Monken and would prosper. I was also shocked that at Arizona State the QB from the 2011 season chosen to go pro instead of coming back, and shockingly, seems ASU found not only one good QB who could do a good job, but a backup that could step in and play like a starter. We saw enough of the QBs USM had in 2012 to see that the cupboard is not bare, and with good coaching a fine QB could emerge.

Lot of info "leaks" on EP. A lot of it B.S., but if you learn how to filter it a fair amount of good info comes through.

Running his mouth may be a bad choice of words but when you make statements like "Southern Miss is going anchor the conference 2-3 years from now", you should expect a little backlash.

If told him if he was getting ahead of himself and that his post was unjustified, would that make you feel better?

I thought I presented a very good good argument of the reasons that southern miss will anchor the new and improved conference and most likely have an undefeated season in 2015. I know I sound optimistic, but crazier things have happened. If i were to tell you a year ago that Southern Miss would go 0-12 would you have believed me?

No one expected them to go 0-12 or to fall the way they did. 10 straight bowl seasons is quite the accomplishment.

Your argument was just assumptions and didn't take into account anything that the establish programs are doing. You pretty much lumped them in with ODU and Charlotte by stating their will be alot transitional teams during those years. Monken seems like a good fit but coming off last season it's essentially a rebuild that will still be taking some lumps in years 2-3.

Glad to see you took my reaction a little better than some of the other fans 04-cheers

We could go unbeaten in a season not too far in the future, but I guess I have been around too long to really think it will happen. We always seem to find a game or two we should win, a way to lose. I remember in 81 I think it was, we were unbeaten and tied Alabama only to go to Louisville and let a team we should have had little trouble with upset us.

Again, are you depending on an EP post as your basis of truth?

Until Coach M states he left the team, i'm under the assumption he's still on the team.

I love the guys on EP, but they're the worst at just posting stuff that makes no sense, just to stir $#!T up to say they could.

How many rumours did they all try to state was the truth during the coaching search or during the AD discussions? If you listened to "those in the know" on EP... we had Sonny Dykes, Willie Taggart, Skip Holtz, Bobby Petrino, Blake Anderson, and Hugh Friese as our FB head coaches at some point during this offseason.

It's all in good fun. I got a group of friends who make a trip to a usm away game every season, so Charlotte could be in our plans when we play in Charlotte.

I'm of the mindset we should win every game and I'm disappointed when we don't. We've had one season where the 0 was shown, I'm ready to have a season where the 0 is on the other side of the dash.. Will we get it done this year? I don't know.. It could happen. If we get talent through recruits and transfers, and The Monk and Duggan get the Xs and Os figured out, I think we'll find success again soon.

context? ok. the second half of your sentence was " . . . before running your mouth."

somehow, I don't see how that helps your argument that you were being "complimentary".

RE: Southern Miss to anchor the New Cusa.
If Tulsa is still here after the dust settles, we will have 4 anchors of old schools in CUSA. I think those schools will be Tulsa, USM, Rice and Marshall.

Tulsa has been good since the beging of NCUSA, USM was an anomaly last year with a real bad hire and real bad coaches, Rice has some really good players coming back and they have a good QB with experience, Marshall was a DC away from winning at least 8 games.

If UAB gets to keep McGee for a few years I think they will do well soon. And think UTEP is most likely in full rebuild mode. I liked Price but he probably should have been gone the same year Snyder was gone.

I think LA Tech will come in and play well but still think the jury is out on MTSU. Im not sold on the speed of their D- players. This is the biggest difference between CUSA players and SB players.

I think both FIU and FAU are in full rebuild also. I don't expect that much from either of them in the first few years.

Im not going to judge anything with Charlotte, UTSA or ODU until they get a full recruiting cycle in, that means until their 1st fresham class of being in CUSA are seniors. ODU has some really good players but they are extramly small compaired to CUSA recruits.
