Football Coaching Staff
From everything I've seen, this is what we're currently at:

HC: Rod Carey
OC:
QB: Bob Cole
RB: Roy Manning (Cincinnati)
OL: Joe Tripodi
WR: Thad Ward (WMU)
TE/FB: Tim Polasek (North Dakota State)
DC/S: Jay Niemann
DL: Brett Diersen (FAU)
LB: Kevin Kane
CB:

You have to think Cole is promoted to OC with either him or Carey calling plays, so all that's really left to fill is CB coach. Would love to see them give it to Melvin Rice. Also, Special Teams Coordinator and Recruiting Coordinator duties need to be filled. One of those will almost assuredly go to Kane, with my guess being recruiting coordinator.

Assuming Cole is the new OC, do we think he will change the offense at all or keep everything exactly the same?

As another mentioned,I am not going to have another thread spill here or all over this board. I do suggest you go back to the "3266 tickets sold for OB" thread and read your posts again and go to page 22 to understand where my "crappy team"comments came from.

I'd expect no change other than natural evolution based on the talent on the field. The whole point of promoting Carey was to not change.

I'm not even sure Cole will call plays, but if he does you won't see much of a change at all.

I've never called NIU a crappy team. Crappy fans? Oh yeah. I stand by that. Also if you struggle with reading comprehend so much that you missed where I said "if you care enough to post here you're part of the solution not the problem" than I don't know what to tell you.

The offense shouldn't change all that much I wouldn't think. You saw what happened at Central Michigan when Enos came in and changed the offense. It's taken them 3 years to get back to .500.

I don't have time for your nonsense or more belittling.Read your own damn words in the other thread. What you said about the team. And fans, I stand by my you weren't there so you not only should not judge but in fact keep silent and not say a word.!You are a sorry individual who some don't want to call out for your supposed loyalty, name or who you are. I am sure many feel the same and just won't say it. You stand on a soapbox ridiculing team not deserving to be there, to their performance to something like we all laid a big crap. Tell that to those who were there at HS and see how you are accepted. Just too bad in 10, 20 years you wont be remembering the experience. You'll be telling everyone they suck, team sucked. Right You'll probably just say how you couldnt make the game and "wished" you could of. You are pathetic.

Oh dear God, I think you need remove your sand from your ******. I never said the team sucked, but yes I think losing by 3 TDs and getting outgained by 300 yards gave a lot of credence to the "we didn't deserve to be there" comments made before the Orange Bowl. If that makes me a bad fan, so be it. And please, if you're going to get on your soapbox everytime I post something feel free to use the ignore feature.

Give it up, quit trying to explain yourself. You aren't a bad fan. Just one of those "crappy" ones who didn't go to the game.
