As far as Akeem's injury, we could have had Garrett Wolfe at RB and it wouldn't have made a difference for one simple reason: we couldn't block FSU. Their D-Line completely owned our O-Line.

ya don't run between the tackles. I would have liked Garrett back there in a heartbeat. Our fortay is to create space and w/o a strong RB it limited us. It would have helped, how much

As great as GW was, he couldn't run against a team that dominated the line of scrimmage. The last game of GW's career at NIU was against TCU in the Poinsettia Bowl. TCU's D-Line absolutely owned our O-Line. Stats from that game:

Wolfe - 20 rushes for a net of 28 yds
NIU team - 29 rushes for a net of -20 yds

True about getting owned on the line of scrimmage. But in both games, we were very one-dimensional. We had more options against FSU because of passing game, but since we didn't make plays that were there, we became one-dimensional. If GW had Lynch (and Moore) against TCU or Lynch had GW against FSU, it definitely would have made our offense less predictable and created a few more options for both offenses. That being said, you still have to make the plays that are available and we didn't against FSU.

I think we need to develop a few more pass routes.
I think we are too basic.
I wish we would send Seismich?, Eakes down the middle of the field more.
One play I hate is 3rd and 5 with a throw to the reciever 2 yards out heading toward the sideline.

Wasn't Wolfe banged up going into that game. I think that he might have been trying to play through a bad hammy the second half of that season and it really began to show in some games.

Amen to all of the above.

And to your last point, they had JL rolling out (once, if not twice) to his "off-hand" side to make it an even more difficult play.

While Jimmie played great in the Orange Bowl, not sure I can agree with the notion he was the best player on the field that night. Not according to the NFL. There will be 4 Seminoles drafted before Jimmie Ward. He could be in the top 8-10 range but not the best player for either team on Defense.

I would agree that he could be a starter and impact player for lots of ACC teams.

Jimmie Ward is a BEAST. I have admired the way that kid plays all season. Count me in on the Jimmie Ward Fan Club!
