That's nine full members who play FBS football. Keep calm and carry on.
Sorry but that is just a shell of the former BE.
Actually it's more like a reunion of the original CUSA with UCF replacing UAB. The next step is to give ECU full membership, invite Southern Miss, and add ODU in the spot originally occupied by Louisville. The football-only side can be UMass, Navy, Boise State, and SDSU (until UConn is added by the ACC).

I don't think any MWC schools will jump initially. They will stick together and see if this New Metro Conference can survive. When the ACC strikes again, you might see Fresno State develop the courage to move, perhaps finally followed by a change of heart from BYU if another spot happens to open up.
No. Now that the basketball schools are gone, the Old Dominions and UMass suggestions left with them. The league will move south and west. Temple, Navy, ECU, USF, UCF, S Miss, and Memphis will make up the east. UConn and Cinci will be gone by spring.
The BE can function with 12 members and still have the CCG. If you can keep the western teams on board, I think UConn and Cincy are probably the last teams to be poached. Things should settle down for the nBE then. The western teams have to come though, or it looks really bad.
