My guess is the addition of FAU and MTU was not sudden and that the process of expansion has received long-time attention from CUSA Presidents, ADs, and CUSA administration. No doubt ESPN had its input also as did other networks.

So far, so good. CUSA has a ton of work to do in the short run; the long run prospects look good.

What do you mean? That we'll have more money, nicer facilities, etc.? I don't care. Sucess for me consists of keeping up with- or surpassing-our erstwhile peers: Louisville, Cincy, ECU, etc.

Getting leapfrogged by other schools cannot be success.

In 1999, we played in a 33,000-seat stadium with a tiny scoreboard, no suites, and rudimentary bathrooms. Now, we've got a giant scoreboard, lots of suites, more capacity, climate-controlled bathrooms with TVs, etc. But it's not success, because we were much closer to the big leagues back in 1999.

I wouldn't be surprised if some UTEP boosters started the NMSUx to CUSA rumors to begin the process of UTEP moving to the MWC.

Why would ESPN have input with CUSA? We all know the relationship that the 2 entities have.

I don't see why the Florida schools can't be moved west. They are to far for a bus trip for anyone and they are a cheap flight from any airport. It won't affect costs or time to move them to keep USM on this side of the bracket.
