Banowsky doesn't know where CUSA getting WKU,NMSU reports got started and won't speculate on it.

@DrewChamplin
Banowsky said some divisional alignments should be figured out w/in 60 days. It'll be different in 2013, 2014, 2015, obviously

@DrewChamplin
Banowsky: We may grow again, but we need to be thoughtful on the way to do it. TV deals expire in 3 years

Conference USA commissioner Britton Banowsky denies that his league is looking at WKU and NMSt.
Soooo...we are looking at WKU and NMSU then.
Western Kentucky--ok. New Mexico State--no way.

Lol.

Is CUSA at 13 football playing members for 2014 ?

Six remaining members: UAB/USM/MU/Rice/UTEP/Tulsa

Four added in 2013: FIU/LaTech/UNT/UTSA

Three added in 2014: ODU/MT/FAU

Charlotte in 2015

Is that right? Of course ECU and Tulane make 12 in 2013. Just wondering about 2014.

Pretty sure ODU and Charlotte both come in 2015.

ODU is "officially" added in 2015, with a full conference schedule in 2014.

We're technically not in conference for fb until 2015 but we'll play a conference schedule in 2014 so yea the above looks right for scheduling
If C-USA stays at 14 teams and splits into 2 divisions, Southern Miss and MTSU will be on the fence between East and West. I wonder how that would get resolved.

Is it feasible to add WKU as 15th team and split into 3 divisions like so?:

Rice
Tulsa
UNT
UTEP
UTSA

LT
MTSU
UAB
USM
WKU

Charlotte
FAU
FIU
Marshall
ODU

Football schedule: 4 division opponents, plus 2 from each of the other two; total of 8. CCG between the two division winners with the best overall record.

edit okay I actually looked at a map and realize that Hattiesburg is a bit west of M'boro, so if it's a 7x2 split the alignment would be fairly simple after all. But I still think WKU would be a good idea
You never hear from the man, unless something's threatening his high dollar cushy position.
Most non-accountable person I've ever seen.
This is the CUSA/EAST and CUSA/WEST I would like to see.

CUSA/WEST:
Northern Illinois/Missouri State
Tulsa/UNT
Rice/La Tech
UTEP/UTSA

CUSA/EAST:
Marshall/ODU
USM/UAB
Charlotte/MTU
FIU/FAU
His selling point for FAU was that people like to go to Florida. As good a reason as any, I suppose.

Solid. We're in good hands.

I heard the Sorbonne's sports teams might be a nice add, too. Especially for those wintertime games.

The Big East took Tulane for Mardi Gras.

Well, yeah, to recruit.
He said fans and coaches.

The SEC has the Sorbonne from screwing everybody.

Good idea, but I'd split it like this:
UAB
Charlotte
Marshall
ODU
WKU

MTSU
USM
LT
FAU
FIU

Rice
Tulsa
UTEP
UNT
UTSA

If nothing else, since football is in the toilet. lets bring back the old home/home bball rivalries between Charlotte, ODU, WKU, and UAB
