The funny thing is, my comment was not originally meant to be a sour grapes comment. It was supposed to be an observation about how the league is improving if its to the point that the 3rd place team can get the first invite. It means the league is confident that the top 2 are both going to be in bowls.

About that time, Freaking Mississippi State decided they wanted to look like crap in the 2nd half against Ole Miss, and my comfortable Liberty Bowl spot dissappeared, leaving poor chiefsfan stuck watching ASU's bowl game at home this year. Thats what stinks.

There is a ton of unnecessary aggression in this thread. Everyone needs to chill. And the petty back and forth between a game played weeks ago and a bowl bid needs to stop, though I'm not really sure how a new orleans bowl bid is supposed to be better than having won a key conference game, but whatever. Congrats to the cajuns for accepting their bowl bid, congrats to stAte for getting to the defacto title game.
