RE: B1G Lacrosse? and etc.
LAX is growing pretty quickly here in my area of Michigan (I live in the shadow of UofM) at my school we have a Rugby vs LAX rivalry for recruiting because both are pretty successful within Michigan, lot of passive hatred between us Rugby folk nd the LAX folk.

What if we convince the B1G for associate members and added say Detroit for LAX?

They only need one associate member for an autobid. Perhaps we nab another midwestern program.

If any lax school would be considered for associate membership, it would be Hopkins in a role similar to UChicago

That would be awesome if they'd join for LAX and the CIC. Hopkins would offer a lot to both.

There are no associate members in the Big Ten in any sport. They didn't do it for hockey even though there was a lot to gain there. I don't think they'll do it for any sport.

Or merge with the Big East/C7, once Rutgers, the C7 and Notre Dame leave they don't have enough members to sponsor Lax.

I don't think any of the nBE schools play lacrosse. The C7 have the lacrosse playing schools (St Johns, Villanova, Providence, Marquette, Georgetown). Depending on who they add as full members, they will have enough for their own lax conference (or add an associate member).
