You'll probably be able to add Tennessee coach Derek Dooley to that list before too much longer...

Probably, but I maintain that would be a huge mistake. When all is said and done Dooley is going to be a big winner, either in Knoxville or elsewhere. It's not his fault that Fulmer and Kiffen's recruiting classes have left in mass.

Tennessee has Missouri, Vandy, and Kentucky left. They win out, and get to 7-5, I think he survives another year.

A name to kind of watch out for I think is Lane Kiffin. If they lose to Arizona St, UCLA, and Notre Dame- to finish 6-6, I could see Pat Haden pull the trigger.

RE: 2012 Coaching Carousel
I think Chizik at Auburn & Richt at Georgia are on the hot seat. Which is kinda sad, not too long ago Chizik won a National Title and Richt wasn't that bad. You wonder why coach's and programs cheat these days. Its because boosters and fans want to win at all costs.

Chizik- yes he'd be on the hot seat.
Richt- no way he's on a hot seat right now.... They with win vs Auburn clinch the east actually....

Whatever...

Any other possible job openings in the major conferences? And who is the hotshot up and comer. I know of Christobal at FIU but I'm unsure if he's leaving there anytime soon. I could see Petrino land a job somewhere.

I don't know if Christobal is as hot this year with how poorly FIU has done this year

Great job answering the question. He's been on the radar at least 2 years now and stayed at FIU. So I wouldn't even consider him a hot shot up and comer anymore.

RE: 2012 Coaching Carousel
Chizik is fairly safe I would imagine. Even if Auburn waited until after 12/1 to fire him it is going to cost then a $7.5 million buyout to get rid of him this year.

Richt has at least another year with the win over Florida, and the fact that nobody in the SEC is beating Bama this year.

Tom O'Brien at NC State is on his way out in my opinion.

I just wonder if Auburn got railroaded by Alabama by something like 63-7 if that could be the final nail. Esp if Georgia blasts them as well- giving Auburn a 0-8 SEC season....

Gene Chizak is going to be gone at the end of the season, unless Auburn turns it around and wins out. I heard that from somebody whose info I trust...

And the buyout is no problem. There are plenty of people around Auburn willing to donate a lot of money to get rid of him...

Really? I figured FSU did their annual duty to keep bad ACC coaches in place, also known as the Tommy Bowden plan.
