Both ULM and ULL were 6-6 that year, but I think the NO Bowl had to choose MT over them since we were 9-3.
Thats my point... If conference runner up has 8+ wins they may head to NO over a 6-6 UL

I would guess that the New Orleans Bowl would choose ULM if they do end up winning the conference; they will get the SBC champions and a Louisiana school.
