Troy QB Hospitalized.
Staying over night at the Hospital in Troy. No other info at this time. Just an above the shoulder injury. This could be several different things.

Does this mean that the injury was in fact, not a shoulder injury?

Not sure. Probably not shoulder. I'm in the medical field. Hoping it's not his neck.

On another note Deon our back up QB did great. In some ways better than Corey
Troy is deep at QB and we will be fine I think

RE: Troy QB Hospitalized.
It was a long time on the field before they got him up. Imagine it is a concussion.
They didn't put him on a board and he rode out in the cart so all that is good.

Hope the best for the young man. Thanks for the update.

I was about to say, if that was a neck injury the Troy training staff mistreated that on the field. Since James Andrews is the presiding doctor, Im guessing it was a head injury of some time. Probably a concussion, that would leave him doubtful for next week.

RE: Troy QB Hospitalized.
From the ESPN.com recap:

Quote:Robinson didn't return after getting knocked unconscious on the final play of the first half, with the Trojans leading 17-14 after twice going ahead by 10 points. He was taken off the field sitting up in a cart after getting sacked by Bar'ee Boyd and Blakeney said he would stay overnight at Troy Regional Medical Center for observation.

"He got knocked out so we've got to take care of that," the coach said

I hate to see this. Football is an awesome game, but very violent. I am praying that he has a speedy recovery. I would have loved seeing how the game would have unfolded had he been in for the second half. The backup did an incredible job, however.

WKU showed their true colors after Corey's injury. Andrew "Bone Thugs in Harmony" Jackson wouldn't shut his mouth and was doing some kind of dance just a few yards away from Corey as he is lying there on the ground. It got so out of hand that WKU coaches had to tell the players to stop celebrating and show some measure of concern for the injured player.

Congrats on the win but you guys need to learn how to win with class.

We were losing at that point. El Presidente probably didn't realize the seriousness of the hit and was amped from the momentum swinging their way. If he did then yeah he needs to take a class in respect. My guess is that he didn't understand how injured the QB was. Just an opinion.

Thanks for stepping up and admitting that but the entire team knew what had just transpired. He wasn't the only one but he was making the biggest show of himself. Jackson is a great player but it appears the coaching staff "overlooks" certain actions.

Troy's football team is full of thugs. They almost started a fight before the game even started. Throughout the entire game they were taking cheap shots and running their mouths. Look at all of the personal foul penalties. Numerous times there were scuffles after the play was over and EVERY time it was instigated by a Troy player. I'm sure this was part of the game plan to get physical and make the game chippy. They tried to get into our heads and it worked to a point. But it was painfully obvious Troy was taking as many cheap shots as possible.

Case in point, one of Troy's O-Lineman after a play purposely fell on top of the pile driving his knee into Kadeem Jones and flailing his elbow into the back of another players head. He got flagged for a personal foul. It wasn't 5 minutes later that he got another one.

IF Andrew Jackson was celebrating an injury it was uncalled for and should be dealt with. BUT Troy's actions the entire game were uncalled for. They were asking for someone to get hurt by taunting and jawing the entire game.

Not just the entire game, before the game. Any player that enters another teams locker room and calls out an opposing player before the game begins does not deserve to be allowed to play the game.

There was plenty of thuggish behavior by both teams. I saw numerous chop blocks by WKU players, where they were clearly looking to take out knees, particularly on runs to the outside.

Are you saying that you see nothing wrong with chop blocks? Look, Troy's play, particularly in the OL, was pretty thuggish; but no WKU fan should be throwing stones over that, as the 'Toppers had more than their share of dirty play as well.

There was a lot of laundry on the field last night, and there should have been more. I felt that after about the second offsetting personal foul call, the refs should have started ejecting folks, since clearly neither team was going to straighten out on their own.

RE: Troy QB Hospitalized.
What I'm saying is that teams will ALWAYS gripe about people having dirty plays, people chop blocking, this and that. ALL TEAMS DO IT!! And if your team doesn't do it, then you're probably getting beat.

If it's your team doing it, then you call it "playing with an edge". If it's the opponent, then they're playing dirty, taking cheap shots, etc. That's the way it goes.

I hope Robinson is ok. I never want to see anyone get hurt. But, for our guys to celebrate right after the hit is completely normal. They're kids. They didn't know that Robinson was down for the count in the heat of the moment. Now, if they were still chirping after they knew he got hurt, then we have a problem.

Also, fans are quick to put a halo on their team, and yet label the opponent as thugs. Let's call it both ways folks. The stripes thought BOTH teams were doing cheap things on the field.

I don't have a dog in this hunt. I just thought the officials let the game get away in the second half by not ejecting players when it became clear that just throwing flags was not enough.
