RE: Troy QB Hospitalized.
just gonna say that after watching that game I can understand why USA had more PF's than any other game this season so far at the Troy game.

that being said, "baiting" is part of the game and no players should celebrate an injury.

I hope Robinson is ok. I never want to see anyone get hurt. But, for our guys to celebrate right after the hit is completely normal. They're kids. They didn't know that Robinson was down for the count in the heat of the moment. Now, if they were still chirping after they knew he got hurt, then we have a problem.

Also, fans are quick to put a halo on their team, and yet label the opponent as thugs. Let's call it both ways folks. The stripes thought BOTH teams were doing cheap things on the field.

dead on.

our kids are fine young christians that visit nursing homes.

their thugs do home invasions.

its the nature of fans. following sports is akin to clannism if that's a word. our clan is good....the mcdonough or o'shaunessy clans are bad. forget that you're all the same damn dna soup and just grew up on a different hill.

i have said this many times.

the first time troy came to western they were strutting like freakin' peacocks. they were hitting late. the penalty flags were flying.

people were calling them thugs. not me. i said 'i want a defense like that'

we now have a defense like that. if the troy fans think we're a classless bunch of thugs they need to look in the mirror....they saw themselves last night.

i hated to see corey with a possible concussion. i have a son his age. he got a concussion when he was in h.s. football his sophomore year. they're no joke.

but there was nothing dirty about the play that caused it. when q. smith knocked usm's qb into last week it was a clean legit play. i've been saying this is a very physical football team and these things happen.

best wishes and prayers for corey. he's a son to parents. as a parent with sons my heart goes out to him and his family.

I don't have a dog in this hunt. I just thought the officials let the game get away in the second half by not ejecting players when it became clear that just throwing flags was not enough.

Completely agree. I saw chippy behavior from both sides and it was because the refs let it happen. They should have taken aside the captains at half time and let it be known that any more such behavior would result in ejections.

And regardless of who was more chippy/thuggish, it seemed to hurt Troy more at the wrong times. The personal fouls against them seemed to happen at critical points in the game.

I was unable to see the play he got hurt on...what happened? I know Troy fans probably think it was dirty but can someone give me an objective opinion about the play?

Two rushers came in untouched and hit the QB one right after the other. Nothing dirty about the hit although they did obviously hit with intent to rattle his cage, but that's just football.

It was clean...from the looks of it, he was turning from the initial hit and he was impacted by the second rusher and his head was caught between 2 players...then the 1st player fell on him and his head hit the ground.

The QB got blindsided. And the above poster is correct-- it was not the initial hit that caused the concussion, it was him hitting the ground.

Most certainly a clean hit. The actions of the WKU players afterwards were a little disturbing.

Was this necessary after a great play by the WKU defense?

Why not post the video posted on your own message board instead of just a screenshot that makes it appear as though he just stood above him taunting? He skipped by and barked something at him while going to the people that made the play to celebrate. Not at all a big deal like you are trying to make it out to be.

At the time he skipped by, it was clear he may have been a bit shook up, but he had not been down long enough to indicate he was seriously hurt. Not seeing the big deal myself either.

Especially when you consider that both teams had been talking crap back and forth all game. Better be able to protect your QB if you're going to go that route...

What is up with 1/2 of Troys team not shaking hands and
leaving for the locker room after the game?
And by the way who is by far the most penalized
team in the Sun Belt? Yep, you guessed it.

It's what took place during the next few minutes that really showed WKU's class. Andrew "Bone Thugs in Harmony" Jackson continued his skipping and then an all out dance type celebration broke out. He was hoopin' and hollerin' to anyone who would listen. Strangely enough, he had nothing to do with the play in question.

Continuing to question WKU's class just shows how clueless you are. Every school in this conference, including mine and yours, has been accused of worse than what you're describing.

That's not what my eyes told me for 4 hours last night. My seats are on Row 1 on the 40 yard line directly behind the visiting team bench. I don't think you have an argument that I am clueless to the behavior WKU exhibited last night.
