I will ask SDSU fans same thing I asked Temple fans:

Is there room on your campus for a stadium and if so, is there any talk about it being a reality?

The school has acquired land adjacent to the campus in the past few years. I don't believe the school has said anything publicly about putting up a stadium, but us message board types have it already sized, priced and built!

Not publicly. SDSU is currently tied in with the Chargers negotiations, so I don't think you WILL see it until the Chargers figure out their stuff. San Diego is a Chargers town and you'd be a fool to ostracize all those fans.

As others have said, there has been rumors. Campus is real tight, but if a couple of buildings are torn down or moved on campus, it could be done.

I'm happy about the direction of the program and anxious to take some road trips back east.

No way an on-campus stadium will be built if the Chargers build a new one downtown. Or maybe I should say if the taxpayers build the Chargers a new one downtown.

As a non-Chargers fan, I'm rooting for the stadium next to Staples Center so the Chargers move to L.A. If that happens, a bunch of Chicken Littles will predict the demise of Aztecs football up until the day ground is broken on a new stadium on campus.

BTW, downtown is like 10 miles from campus. So I don't care how much Chargers fans keep saying it would be a thing of beauty, students would avoid the place like the plague.

I am also not sold on downtown for the Aztecs. It would be great to have a new stadium for the Aztecs to play in, but the students won't even go 2 miles on the trolley to a game at the Q...Much less a 40 minute trolley ride downtown.

Build it on campus and they will come.

Froshs won't after the first game, upperclassman might show up for a half before walking to gaslamp.

I hate going downtown to a padres game, it's a pain in the ass, but then again I'm not a padre fan, but when they were at the Q I went all the time because it was easy. Downtown just makes it more difficult for the casual fan (like I was with the Padres at Petco)
