Kennesaw State football: big problems?
Am I the only one who missed this? Apparently Kennesaw has done nothing in terms of setting up football. If this is the case they clearly jumped the gun coming out and announcing football would begin in 2014. Doing a quick search it seems they are scrambling and are just in a holding pattern right now, with no real game plan in sight. An interesting development to say the least.

Yeah, things have been way too quiet for a 2014 launch.

They don't have a home right now guys. It appears the SoCon promises are going to be broken, The Big South has a full house right now as does the OVC.
They need a partner or two with scholarship football that could relo to probably the Big South, bump them up to 12 for everything and split it off into divisions.

Would the Southland take a football only member? They will have an odd number of programs come 2014.

RE: Kennesaw State football: big problems?
The flirting between College of Charleston and the CAA may be just the break that KSU needs to find a home for its football program. The only akward part is that C of C plays in the SoCon's South Division, while Samford currently plays in the North. That can at least be fixed if Davidson and Samford switch divisions:
North - Chattanooga, Western Carolina, UNCG, Elon, Appalachian State, Davidson
South - Samford, Kennesaw State, Georgia Southern, The Citadel, Furman, Wofford
If Georgia Southern goes FBS this obviously makes the case for Kennesaw State more compelling, even if Coastal Carolina gets in ahead of them this time. I don't think the Sun Belt is in a mood to expand right now given they will have 3 new FBS programs next year (UTSA, USA, Georgia State).
