Seriously MTSU fan? If a Troy fan wanted to come over and make this argument at least they'd have some justification. After what MTSU did Thursday just be glad others took some of the stink off your team's embarrassing performance.

Both conferences had a tough opening weekend. MTSU lost to McNeese. You shouldn't be casting the first stone.

Didn't you get blown out by your instate "rival" where the game was never even close? You're lucky you didn't play a 1AA school because judging by the clowns you ran out on the field against West Virginia it would have been a definite loss.

I didn't cast the first stone. IT was "casted" in an early thread after our loss.

Losing to a Top 10 WVU who butt raped the ACC Champ in the Orange Bowl is not quite a fair comparison. Can you imagine the beat down MTSU would take at the hands of WVU ?? With Rick Standstill running the Offensive show at MTSU it would be ugly, ugly, ugly maybe even a mercy game called off by halftime.

You obviously dont know much about football. Wvu has one of the most potent offenses in the country. They would put up 100 against mtsu easily.

Yes. We did get Embarrassed by a team that will likely win the B12 and possibly go to the NCG on their turf. A field that has been shown over time to be extremely difficult to win on. A team that beat the ACC champ by a worse score last season on neutral turf. A team with a potential Heisman winner and likely several high round picks. We put up 34. We had over 500 yards of offense. Do I like that we lost? No. Our defense giving that much up is inexcusable. And it needs to get fixed. However, we will beat WCU next week. I still think we win 7-8 games this year. And I still think we challenge ECU and USM for the east.

You, on the other hand, lost to a school that has a fraction of the scholarships you have. A school that most football fans have never heard of. Both of us were embarrassed. But your defeat was much worse.

let's see here.....

looks like the Suck Belt went 4-5 on opening weekend. the 4 wins were a decisive 7-3 win for FAU over those pesky NYC boys from Wagner, Troy's road win over instate rival UAB, Western Kentucky's win over FCS powerhouse Austin Peay, and Louisiana's blowout win over FCS powerhouse Lamar.

yep.....definitely worth bragging. well done Suck Belt.

Let me know when the Sun Belt has some teams ranked at the end of the season. CUSA has had 4 the last two years (UCF, Tulsa, Houston, USM).

So you showed up to throw the Big East into the mix, and make it three?

1. At least we aren't The MUTS...
Thank God you are still in the Slum Belt

2. Our HC Doc Holliday recruited most of the players that just beat us. He was an asst at the WHO for years. He also recruited 1/3 of Florida's NC teams. So I have faith he will recruit the same for us

3. The Who would have had 100 points dropped on you.

4. ECU is glad your poor excuse of a coach said NO THANKS. Or they would be sucking just like you.

5. MUTS just got their rear handed to them by 6-5 Southland conf school last year.

6. The MUTS have never been ranked in IA and only 2 times in IAA.

7. The MUTS have been IA since 1999. In that time span you have 9 losing seasons.

8. I could go on but I really don't want to waste anymore time on this.

Have fun being an automatic win for the Slum Belt this year. You have a big game coming up in 2 weeks. The battle for worst team in IA against Memphis.

Well truthfully the New (2013) Big East has a better Sagarin football rating than the New ACC. And yes, that includes lowly Memphis. So no.

Nobody believes the new Big East will be better than the ACC. In the new Big East, Memphis will still be on the outside looking in. Just from a different view, and with a couple more bucks in their pocket. There are only 5 major conferences now. Next week Arkansas State is going to crush Memphis, and the Sagarin ratings will have no impact on that either.
