This will be interesting, With their old Coach retiring after this coming season, who will GSU get as a Coach. I fully expect them to shell out a lot of money to get a good hire. GSU probably has much more spending ability than anyone in the Sun Belt potentially. They may even pay 900 or over a Million bucks a year for a good coach. We will see how serious they are.

Ehhhh, I don't know if they'll spend that kind of money... but who knows. I never expected ASU to shell out what they did for Malzahn.

I think GSU goes for the marbles and spends the money and gets a quality assistant from another program to take the team. Hiring a "has been" head coach to pick up the pieces won't happen, IMO. Too much is at stake. I truly believe the Panthers aspire to move to coosa in a couple of years if not sooner. The whole truth is unknown exactly why Coach Curry called it quits after 2012 and I pray it is nothing to do with a health issue.

There's no need to spend $1,000,000 when $500,000 will get the same result. A new FBS program is not going to be able to hire an existing FBS coach away from another school. A high major assistant (or FCS) probably would leap at the opportunity for 500k. Malzahn was a special case and is being compensated accordingly.

I dont think we are going to get anyone who has ties to the Atlanta area so I guess that leaves an ACC or SEC assistant or coordinator. Money will not be a problem. Frankly I would like to see our AD replaced first and THEN have us hire a HC.
