RE: Week 1 betting odds
I have a feeling that Ohio will face one of the most hostile crowds in all of college football this season. All of the emotions will be brought out.

RE: Week 1 betting odds
OL Nowicki leaves Penn State (good man)

Penn State up to 8 defections (3 starters)

1. RB, LB, K
2. FS, TE
3. QB, OL
4. DT

Another 3 more starters and Penn State will be hurting big because they won't have enough time to get the reps in before week #1.

Looks like its going to be a decent exodus here..what is the deadline to announce August 10th or something?

Any injuries in training camp for Penn State could also become an issue with the loss of depth.

Way way way too much emotion involved on the Penn state side. I hope Ohio can pull it off, but no way would I ever put money on it.

Agree. PSU will come loaded for bear.

BTW, on the EMU board, posters are going overboard on EMU vs. BSU.

I'm surprised no one there has offered to do 10K in Vegas and if Vegas won't take it there is always Mitt Romney, who likes 5-digit bets. (I like 5-digit bets, providing I can count the 2-digits to the right of the decimal. 03-lmfao)

That's why I love the beginning of the season. Everyone's team has 0 losses and it's a big my pee pee is bigger than your pee pee contest.
Some are already predicting a 3-0 start.

It would definitely make me sit up and take notice to beat Purdue in W Lafayette. Not saying they can't but I don't think they will.

I see the Thundering Terd visits West Lafayette two weeks after EMU. BTW, any English majors here? Should it be "Thunder Terd visit West Lafayette" or Thundering Terd visitS West Lafeyette?"

I want to use proper English when talking about our favorite Terd(s).

If I was a betting man, I'd take the 27 1/2 points. We may have lost 90% of our offensive, but we have pride. UConn is not that strong as there is some question on the QB.

That is true and probably will decide the game.

For those into returning players, and 2 deeps, etc. etc. here is the PSU depth chart for their bowl game.

Delete the seniors. Delete those who left the program recently.

The 2 deep on Sept 1 will be a shell of what it was like Jan 2.

PSU better hope they had good depth!! (scroll down about 12 -15 pages).

yeah, unfortunately, i agree with you. PSU will be sky high and so will their fans. they will have the world's largest chip on their shoulder! LOL I just hope we can withstand that emotional storm, ride it out, and wait for our chances to pounce. if we can hang around long enough, it could get interesting!

If Ohio players go into that game with the attitude that they are going to ride it out, wait for a chance to pounce, they may as well stay home. OU MUST come at PSU with everything they have early and often. The chance to pounce is the opening kickoff. Waste it and they're done. Go about it like they have something to prove to the country and they could very well pull it off, emotions or no emotions.
