Those rankings usually do not factor in international recruits. So Michelle Brandoa won't be considered in that.

ESPN only considers true freshmen, and no transfers or JUCO players. So I just take it for what it is.

Quote:ESPN HoopGurlz ranks recruiting classes based solely on high school prospect signings. No consideration is made for junior college or transfer student-athletes. Player rankings and class rankings are determined by the ESPN HoopGurlz rankings panel.

It's nice to get recognition, but we've seen how inexact recruiting is on the men's level and I have to imagine it's even more so on the women's side.

Well, I mean, it's nice, but if it's a direct correlation to, say, team performance, the 60th best team in the NCAA ain't going dancing.

Well, we all know it's not a direct correlation. When was the last time one of ODU's mbb recruiting classes was rated 60th or better?

RE: Top 60 WBB Recruiting Classes
Just my opinion (regardless of "ranking") but I think the Lady Monarch staff has done a bang up job of working to reestablish the program as one of the marquee places to be. Recruiting this year (and transfers) looks to be on a vicious upswing and the enthusiasm for the program and community is off the charts (if you follow Karen Barefoot on Facebook or Twitter you know what I mean). Things are definitely being aggressively pushed in the correct direction.

I'll try to find, where someone has us with a near top-30 class with transfers.
