Adding to his vast resume of Rookie of the Year, Cy Young and AL MVP, ODU alum Justin Verlander will take the mound as the starter for this years All-Star game as the starter for the American League team.

I would imagine they give him at least 2 full innings, maybe 3 since the game "means something" now and Ron Washington will want to give his team the best chance to win. I doubt he goes more than 3 though as he will want to give most everyone a chance to pitch (some guys aren't available though).

Should be fun to watch! Also involved is local kid David Wright representing the Mets and I'm not sure if Cuddyer went for the Rockies or not after making it with the Twins last year.

I got tickets to the O's-DET game this Saturday. when I got the tickets (like 4 months ago) I was hoping to luck into a JV start, but I'm gonna miss him by one day! ugh! Regardless, I hope he brings it tonight even if its just for an inning or two.
