Taa ta....
An 8 team league had no openings? Im not sure you know what you are talking about.
In 2008, it was reported that ECU was willing to play for free as a football only member.

That part is true but that was Holland's idea, not the alumni or the school's. We just want to participate. There isn't a school in this league who wouldn't do the same thing if that would get them a level playing field. We don't need your money. We just need the insults nationally to stop.
Greenville is a Forbes Magazine top 10 city for cities of it's size which includes MANY BCS cities.
You could do a LOT worse than a full house in a top 10 city in the 98th market that is ten miles from the Raleigh market. And no ranked football teams in that market either. None in Winston Salem or Charlotte either.
Check out this list and count how many BCS cities are below Greenville.
This is college football, not Pro football. Time for a college city or two in this league. Folks can say what they want as an excuse to leave ECU out but Forbes Magazine doesn't lie. They were ranked last year too.

It's hard to describe how hopeless Tiger football games felt last year, no matter what the score was. Mere mediocrity will see us pretty easily clear 30k even without all of the other improvements being undertaken.
True. In mediocre years, the Tigers would draw 25-30K. With three consecutive awful years, it dropped to 20K. In winning seasons, it will easily get back to 40K+.
I saw you guys draw 4,000. And don't even get me started on how many were at that Memhis v. SMU game last year.
And yet we're in and you're here nipping at our feet. lol @ you
