Well it's common knowledge we suck at football as of late, but got invited for being an elite basketball program, so football isn't the only sport that matters.

...and I don't know of a single fan around here that doesn't agree with your comment. I understand the emotions around what's happened; I'm just miffed at why some posters here are vilified based on decisions made way outside their control and based on a seemingly minority of knucleheads from some departing programs.

I agree 100% that this is a CUSA board and everyone's comments should be civil and respectful of the conference, its members, and members' posters.

Finally, I realize that it is indeed a CUSA members' board and as a departing member's fan, if I don't like what's being said about my university, I'm free to leave. Being a member here is a privilege, not a right. I've chosen to stay here because this is where my teams will be playing for another year and the core poster group is very good.

Did not really appear to need "fixing" particularly within the context of your post. With more $$$ and a new coach, the Tigers will be back to conference relevancy again soon.

ECU would have taken the BE invite in a heartbeat, so take your juvenile attitude to the career for which you are obviously destined and enjoy life.

Basketball mattered in Memphis' case. Just because basketball isn't relevant in Greenville, NC doesn't mean it isn't anywhere else. And when Memphis decides to be good in football, which I hope we are now, we can be. Potential has always been there.
