Hey, we do what we can do. Thanks. Our pitching staff has been so beat up for so much of the conf. season
that I'm really proud [and surprised] they were able to put together a pretty good stretch.
I'm hopeful this will be the impetus that gets us into the upper tier of c-usa

Got a feeling it's going to get ugly in here as football and basketball season creep closer. My time on the boards may be few and far between in 2012-2013.

no worries about football season. I don't think I've ever seen a memphis fan during the fall.
In all seriousness though. From UAB fans you'll get the same treatment you always get. We're rivals. We're connected in the Genes... or well that one Gene. Coach Bartow will always bridge the gap between our two programs and hopefully both of our administrations will continue to play each other in all sports. Basketball football et al.
You know, it's comments in this thread (from both sides, actually) that make me strongly consider calling for a 24-hour truce from all the smack talk and realignment threads on this board for Memorial Day. Some of the statements in here are really uncalled for. No need for smack talk. Memphis fans, congratulate UAB on winning the C-USA baseball title and move on. UAB fans, show some class and congratulate Memphis on a fine season and move on. In other words, show some respect to each other for a game well-played...AND MOVE ON! Nobody likes a sore loser. Nobody likes a sore winner either.

Some of you will call me a holier-than-thou thinker, and that's fine. I understand that. But I refuse to put up with sore winners and sore losers.)
Congrats to UAB, lowest seed to ever win the CUSA tourney. Take the trophy to your BOR and ask them how that tastes!

Frankly, the Blazer fans earned a reason to gloat some; they earned some revenge at the championship tournament after what had to be a frustrating season. It's comments from other program's fans that are somewhat bewildering to me.
However, I'm admittedly out of step with the "smack at every possible opportunity" thought process that's invaded college athletics through talk shows and message boards....I soppose that's an age issue on my part.
The pitching was impressive on both ends.... But the Blazers just sustained it longer.
