Is this going to replace our questions about Barksdale transferring?

Latest rumor is that Barksdale is transferring to Syracuse with Shatone Power's ex-gf, and is switching to wide receiver just to help out Mitch Kimble.

Seriously though, Edgy Tim just reported that we are holding a scholarship for Dunbar, and if he has the grades by June, he'll be a Huskie.

If he gets here, I think he will be fine all four years grade wise. That is one thing NIU is great at doing with the athletes is making the academics a major point while on the team.

Yea, just ask Frank the Tank.

He did not get kicked off the team for poor academics.

Here's a list of commits from the Chicago area. There have probably been more since this was posted.

Thanks pal. Didn't realize that I apparently missed a page of the thread. Good news for us.

This guy went 40-1 in wrestling this year and got second in state at 285 pounds. His only loss was in the championship match.

I wouldn't mind seeing him in DeKalb this fall.

I like the idea of snagging a kid from Nequa Valley every year, just to establish that pipeline. If he's a 6'7" OT who can wrestle, so much the better.

I haven't heard of this guy. So question is if he is so good why hasn't he already signed with someone? Would he walk on or do we need a scholly available for both him and Dunbar?

I would offer a kid like that sight unseen. A 40-1 wrestler and is 6'7? Shocked Wisc, IA or illness or not begging him to walk on. LOVE to see him in Dekalb.
