I didn't see the reason why Long & others were waiting until the police report came out.

Whatever the police report had on it, that only determined whether or not the police acted correctly, not whether or not Petrino did.

The longer this goes on, the more likely it looks like he will be retained.

You can say what you want to about Robert Witt (& he is the biggest piece of trash IMO), but he did resolve the Mike Price situation in a timely manner. (Of course Price hadn't won on the field at Alabama as of yet either)

I would have expected Long to have resolved it by now.

Petrino lied to the AD. They didn't find out about the whole situation until a few hours before the report was released.
