RE: Mountain West-WAC merger
Head to head all the non AQ champions would have given each other a great game..During season ASU was much better than at bowl game where they only had 3 coaches on sidelines bc 6 coaches had already left for ole miss with freeze. ASU wishes it had a restart button for december. We did get a HIGH profile HC but winning that game would have been nice.
ASU profile continues to grow..word is there is supposed to be a "Mind blowing announcement" this next week.
Im curious to see what it is

I think SJSU and Utah State are shoe in's for the Mountain West. New Mexico State has a lesser chance, while Idaho is doubtful at best.

And which team do you pull for? Let's hear it.
The Team that Beat your ARSE 47-3..
We still lead the series. And your team is still in that joke of a town of Jonesboro.
And someone in the Sun Belt has no business calling the Big East a joke. Our bottom six teams could beat your top six.
Yea and my daddie can whip your daddies A** any day. So take that!

It sounds too logical for them to do it. New Mexico should look forward to an instate rivalry with New Mexico St and not block their entry. The Pac-12 has numerous instate rivalries. The MWC could do the same as they already have Nevada & UNLV.
In addition to the 12 f/b playing schools you also have Denver and Seattle for b/b & Olympic sports. Denver & Colorado St would be another good instate rivalry.

I am saying this and please believe me, I am not talking smack. I am just ignorant to the acronym. What does ASU stand for? I was think Arizona State until you all mentioned the Sun Belt.

RE: Mountain West-WAC merger
ASU is one of three colleges, just like OSU is just as confusing.
ASU = Arizona State, Arkansas State, Appalachian State
OSU= Ohio State, Oklahoma State, Oregon State
That's why I can never use ASU and OSU, I must specifically name those schools. Their acronyms are too common.

RE: Mountain West-WAC merger
ASU could only stand for Appalachian State University.
Who are those pretenders?
Truthfully I believe thats why we go by App State so much.
Guess that's why Arkansas State goes by stAte so often.
Just remember JMU there is an App for that, JMU ? Just Mean University? Ha, ha - just kidding.

RE: Mountain West-WAC merger
I clicked on here to see if the WIKI posting became true.
Guess those six FCS schools will be named by midnight.
Sure.

I was simply reporting the wiki post that has been twice removed. I don't think anyone believed a random date on an open edit site would be accurate, especially with nothing in the rumor mills to back it up. The fact that no media reported the rumor with more basis more than made it obvious it was just some troll.

Agree. Just pretty much kidding around. Almost time for actual football anyway. Love football season, no matter where we are conference wise.

Really a shame you two schools have built what you have and are going to be stuck in FCS for the next ten years.

Yeah 10 years in FCS is like 1,000 years in real time. Where is Obi Wan Kenobi when you really need him?
You do realize you guys are going to lose to App State September 1st don't you? Scott Satterfield is back as our OC and we just got a receiver that was clocked electronically at 4.24 in the 40 in high school. Read somewhere that he is the fastest in the nation.
