So while your stats are nice to look at, they don't have any real effect on our team objectives as stated by our Coach.

And see, I can discredit your whole thesis without making personal attacks. I guess your personal attacks are an attempt to cover for your faulty premise.

Of course they have an effect. Any idiot can see that. In Pastner's first year, did we put ourselves in a position to make the NCAA tournament? No. In Pastner's second year we put ourselves in a position to make the tournament; barely squeaked in, but were a huge underdog as a 12 seed. This year we were safely in, got screwed on the seeding but were still in a good position to win at least 1 game. I we got the 5 or 6 seed we deserved, we wouldn't have had to play an opponent that every computer had in the top 25.

Next year we will be in even better position. Our players will have more experience; and we have a very solid recruit coming in who is going to give us much needed help up front. I fully expect us to be in the top 25 and win at least 1 game in the NCAA tournament. If this doesn't happen then I agree that Pastner should be on the hot seat in 2014. I am sure that he would agree that that is reasonable.

By every measure known to man, we improved in every area this year. Any idiot (with you being one of the exceptions) can see that. The only improvement we didn't make was NCAA tournament wins. It is a bottom line business, but when you are clearly making progress and improvement toward your goals, the reasonable thing to do is to be obviously disappointed with the loss on Friday; but to be able to see the bigger picture with optimism.

I'll just reiterate our program's success isn't rooted in RPI and SOS numbers. You may think so, but you seem to be out of touch on several items.

You are correct it's a bottom line business. NCAA wins are the barometer for this program.

I seriously doubt there will ever be a conversations between fans recollecting on the season we finished top 20 in RPI. But even an idiot would understand that and not try to use those stats as measurements of success, right? You are smart enough to realize that I presume.

And you and I already agreed on the timeframe for Pastner and what he needs to do. We will just agree on that and move forward.

You're a kid and you want everything right away. You're not used to working for anything and you have a sense of entitlement. People with more experience often realize that sometimes it takes time for the bottom line to catch up to performance. There are teams that have mediocre seasons; but are able to take advantage of opportunities and get hot in the tournament. More than likely, they are a flash in the pan and aren't building anything.

We had an opportunity at the beginning of the season and failed; and we had an opportunity in the tournament and failed. In between we showed a lot of progress. Now I believe that Pastner has 2 years to show bottom line results.

With all the talk about NCAA tournament wins on your side and RPI on my side, the difference maker for me is that I think that Pastner has managed the program about as well as anyone could. When you look at our season last year, and the first half of this year; clearly our players collectively have a super low basketball IQ. When you look at the natural basketball instincts our players have, and how much Pastner was able to get them to generally buy in, I think he has done a fantastic job.

You're an idiot if u think Pastner has done a fantastic job. We continue to have drama every f'n year. Anyone that goes to the games first thought when they arrive to the arena is who is suspended or who isn't starting this game or whatever bs, not how much fun this is going to be.

Our kids are the ones that are spoiled brats that are immature and mentally weak; and our coach enables it. How else would you explain Crawford hanging his head during the st. louis game constantly and not being disciplined enough to continue to play.

It isn't just the record or lack of top 25 wins. IT is all the other bs we have had to put up with. Now this might be a Memphis kid thing but a real coach would have gotten his kids in line a long time ago.
