Good game. UMass outscores Drexel 41-29 in the second half and wins 72-70.

Congrats Minutemen.

Thanks Howl-n-Prowl.
First team to win three road games to make MSG and broke Drexel's 6th longest win streak.

Yep, talk about overcoming a huge obstacle; I've never heard of a road team winning 3 games in the NIT to qualify for the MSG/NYC finals. Big ups for the Minutemen! They like Illinois State and UNI should have been seeded higher.

Some great programs in the NIT this year which make it a very relevant tournament

Rumor here is NIU is one of the 4 MAC teams we're playing in bball next season. Don't know if it's home or away, but if Ohio is coming here as reported then there's a 2 in 3 chance we're coming to NIU.

Well I post this and Minnesota beats Mid Tn St to get a Final 4 Birth in NYC having beaten LaSalle, Miami & Mid TN St on the road. Two teams in one year winning 3 straight on the road, I'm sure this has never happened and unlikely to happen again.
