bolin had played 32 othe 38 thus far....Monty perhaps saw this as an opportunity to get him a blow just before the under 4 media time out so he would be fresh to hit free throws the last few possessions....he sat a total of 37seconds sandwiched around the TV timeout and hit two fts with 30 seconds left to give the Huskies their 52 and 53rd points...monty also chose to go more athletic with AC, Quay and Nader for that short time bolin was out...
that remains the difference between you and me, 7--I try to understand what the coach was thinking i such moves and you believe you know best....with age will come more faith and patience and an appreciation that things are very complicated and coaches decisions have many factors.
You are absolutely correct, I'm sure that's exactly what he was doing. Getting guys extra blow by doing that is something all good coaches do. I just don't think the time to do it is with less than 3 minutes in a close tournament game.
I thought that was Hurd's job.
