PJ Fleck Resigns At NIU
This is just stunning to me. I remember when he left NIU, all that he seemed to want to do was grow and come back to the Huskies. He had his chance, got his promotion and then it sounds like he got cold feet. Here is wishing him the best. He's a great guy, and a passionate member of Huskie Nation.

We are very mad and bitter about this. Especially, if he does join Schiano in Tampa Bay as WR coach. He will never be accepted back into the Huskie family again if the rumor is true.

He really screwed this up. Just more motivation for the players. More chips on the shoulders...the HARD WAY.

SOME are bitter about it. It will all work out. If and when the situation is right again, PJ will be welcomed back to DeKalb with open arms.

I get both sides of this argument. I can certainly see why some Huskie fans feel betrayed. But, Fleck has always been a very open guy. "IF" he's taking an NFL job, I certainly can't hold that against him. Tampa is a great place to live and the NFL is everyone's dream.
Fleck's home is still NIU, but if we're honest, who on this board wouldn't make that move.

Apparently he said he didn't feel prepared to be OC, rather than that he was resigning to take a job at Tampa Bay. Rather strange. I don't think he'll be welcomed back for a coaching position. He may be welcomed back as a former player.

RE: PJ Fleck Resigns At NIU
What makes people mad is he said he felt he wasn't prepared yet he interviewed for the NIU head coaching job after Kill left. He should have just come out and said that he felt coaching in the NFL was an opportunity he couldn't pass up.
If he ever ends up back at NIU in a coaching position it will be a very long time away. Enough time that people will have forgotten.
