That's very true the kid is just insanely good and no one has been able to really effectively shut him down. He's the lone bright spot on another lackluster season.

Lackluster in what context? Did you really think Rutgers would have an outside shot at a 10-win season going into the year with our offense? We are less than a season removed from one of the worst o-lines in the history of college football. It's remarkable that we are even in the title hunt.

I remember when you used to be upbeat about the program when we'd win 4 or 5 games. That's been missing since we lost to Navy in 2008.

Let's be honest, they were both pretty boring. I'm glad I didn't make the trip up for the USF game. 04-cheers

RE: USF @ Rutgers game thread
USF could and should be sitting at 7-1 right now. Losing 3 games they had no business losing. Losing to Rutgers in OT after missing a chip shot FG to win in regulation. Allowing Collaros to score with 12 seconds left in losing to Cincy, and fumbling away a TD to UConn that cost them the game there. 3 plays and USF is sitting at 7-1 right now. 3 plays.

Rutgers had no business winning this game (sorry RU fans, you know it's true) USF outplayed RU on both sides of the ball but their special teams gift wrapped the game for RU. USF doubled up the total yardage on RU. USF special teams cost USF 16 points on SAT. 1 98 Kickoff return, 2 missed FG's (one an absolute chip shot to win it), and 1 dropped punt return, costing USF 3 points. I'm sorry, but both USF's offense and defense dominated Rutgers and they know it. Sorry if I sound angry but that's the truth. Next apathy is going to set it. Is apathy the final stage of acceptance. I hate this team.

Do you see anyone here refuting this? Now maybe if Dodd was in the whole game its a different story on offense.

Based on your logic, UCONN could easily be 7-2 right now since we gave away 3 games in the 4th quarter? Seriously?

Sorry, brista I am just angry and needed to rant. How can you gift wrap 3 games away. This team has 7-1 talent but is 4-4 due to pure idiocy.

Did you actually watch the USF/RU game. If you looked up the definition of "Gift wrap", a replay of this game will come up. How do you miss a game winning FG that is basically and extra point.

I know the feeling, Rutgers could easily be 9-0 or 8-1 or 7-2 instead of 6-3. But between awful OL and DL and bad coaching decisions we are where we are. And our stupid administration will celebrate the mediocrity.

Wah wah wah. If San San te makes a field goal that was closer than the one bonani missed on saturday we beat louisville.(25 yarder). If the damn review booth had working televisions(admitted they were broken after the game) We would have beat UNC. It's football those things happen. And it's not like this is the first time RU has beaten you in fact we beat you a lot so I don't know why you're acting so uppity.

I don't think is acting uppity as much as frustration that everything has bounced the wrong way for our team the past three games

Bit
This year is extreme,it's the first time in our short football history that we have lost 4 in a row and it seems every game we find a new way to lose the game

We had -7 yards rushing. That's negative seven. USF had 221. Our total yardage was 228. We had no business winning that.

Yep, we've paid for the extraordinarily good karma we had in the Notre Dame game in spades ...

Momentum has a lot to do with teams winning or losing. Confidence has a lot to do with it too regardless of talent level.
