Year in and year out, C-USA negotiates a TV deal on a weeknight in Birmingham...I simply cannot understand wanting to embarrass every member of this conference particularly UAB.
On the other hand, UAB fans SHOULD be embarrassed! Oh, and Neil Callaway wears eye liner...but I digress, it is simply not fair to the UAB players and other conference teams to display the 50,000+ empty seats.
GO EAGLES! GO C-USA!

So you can travel to SMU and see the same thing? Don't get your point.

I bet you've really been embarrassed the last few years.

I love how the announcers made note of how that TD drive "silenced the crowd." :)

....LOL. How bad is it? Is it as bad as the crowd at the recent Tulane game?

BYU seemed pretty full, and I know FIU was full, so maybe it's just when we play CUSA games.
Set a FIU attendance record against ucf.

Its amazing that 200 people were able to cheer UAB on to that type of win. UCF should be glad more was not there. It would have been a old fashioned beat down because according to some on this board you would think every fan is worth an extra .01 of a point. Luckily for UCF, UAB only had 200.

RE: There's like 200ish people at the UCF/UAB game
Guys... we were 0-6, have a lame-duck coach, play in a stadium located in the ghetto, and were playing a game against a team that is supposed to wipe the floor with us on a cold weeknight.
The attendance at this game is a referendum on Callaway. Not UAB football.
I guarantee many, many other schools (if not most) in CUSA would have crowds looking like this if you were playing in these circumstances. ECU is one of the few schools that has shown they generally support their football program in large numbers even when they're stinking up the place. As for the rest of you (including some that may be riding high in CUSA right now), almost all of you have had terrible attendance when things aren't going well.
Attendance is not a concern for me right now because myself and the rest of the UAB fans know why no one is there. If we were 6-0 and the stadium looked like that tonight, then by all means, I would understand the criticism. But to act surprised at the sparse crowd when you look at the circumstances. Be real with yourselves and the fact many of the schools in this conference would have stadiums looking not much different under similar circumstances.

Agreed, over the long haul, I think that UTEP, Marshall, ECU, and USM have shown that they will have at least respectable crowds in the worst of times. The balance of us can't make fun of anyone else's numbers at anyone else's gate.
If I remember correctly, ECU's numbers were better than respectable in poor seasons.

Bringing up the attendance thing again are we? I swear, we've gone over this so damn much, you all must have amnesia or something. It's too bad there weren't more people there, we probably would have beaten UCF's ass if we actually had a homefield advantage.

Credit BWP for the pics, taken in the second half, announced was over 8k, although hearing it was more like 1200-1500 actual...

Man...I did not think I'd see a worst crowd than the Memphis/ECU game last year. I now have.
Hell of a win for that team.
