There are some benefits to Minnesota. If you get a kid who loves to fish and hunt, Minnesota is great for that.

Give him 3 years to see if he can turn things around.

This is why coaches cheat in recruiting. Pressure. Novak would have been gone long before with his record. Watching pots dont boil.

Kill will soon get that program to 6 or 7 win territory if he doesn't drop dead first. Getting to 7 wins consistently would be nirvana for Minnesota football.

Aint gonna happen. The 6 or 7 wins I mean. Their coach's health...that's probably more of a possibility.

With all his health issues, can you blame the guy for taking the first BCS team offer? Life is probably short for him, so he had to grab that opprotunity when it was there for him.
All in all, Kill did a good job for the Huskies. He followed the path that Novak that had set and built on it. Whether theywere Coach Joe's or Kill' recruits, players developed under Kill. For the last 4 years, we had at least 2 to 3 players get drafted or signed as a RFA. That's pretty good.
The only knock I have on him was the MAC championship game last year. He was not into the game and you could tell when they had the cameras on him. The program deserved better than what he brought that night.

I believe this domain name and website was started the day he was hired. It's been around since the beginning.

These were not his recruits.
Sorry. I just do not like the guy and I will never forget the way he didn't get our guys ready for the MACC & his crappy exit from DeKalb. I have moved on but I will not forget. Minny can have him.

That was good. Pretty bitter fan it seems, for such a short time in the job. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was done by an NIU fan.

That said, it's going to take awhile for HWSNBN to see any results. I don't expect any miracles but I think he can make them a little better than they were, which isn't saying much.

There is a general dislike for Jerry Kill on the NIU board. Head over to the SIU board and you'd think he could walk on water.

Overall I still wouldn't say I dislike him I just hated what he did at the end. But I am surprised that Minnesota would hire him after 1 good year.

Not as long as you might think, Glen Mason had some good teams in the mid 2000's, 10-3 one year.

That 10–3 record in 2003 gave the Gophers their first 10 win season since 1905. However, in the 7 years from 1934 to 1941, the Gophers won five National Championships.

And remember, Jerry Kill is not being asked to be the Big Ten champion, he is only being asked to win his OOC games, and to build a traditional 7-8 win program while maintaining academic rigor and a clean program.

You mean like FBS powerhouse New Mexico State and FCS neighbor North Dakota State?

Low expectations are still expectations....... 03-lmfao

Minnesota 29
Miami 23
Miami drove the ball to the Minnesota 20 in the closing moments, but Dysert's pass to Chris Givens in the end zone was broken up as time expired.

Miami 9
Kent 3

NIU 40
Kent 10

Would've been nice to have the Goofers at Huskie Stadium this year, no?

YES! If THAT didn't fill up HS I don't know what would. The chance to pound the Goophers AND humiliate HWSNBN....priceless!!!
