See, i'm gonna do what i did last SF game: ROLLERBLADE!!! lol, but no really, it's so fast to get by blading, i highly suggest it (just make sure your cooler has wheels)

Where will you keep your rollerblades? I do not believe you can bring those into the stadium, can you?
She has friends that will keep them safe.

+100 yes i do. You rock, HMM!!!

Accounting grad 1975. You are correct that they misjudged the market, over priced the tickets and wrote a poor contract with Wiscy. That said, I am so happy to be in Chicago this weekend and I am looking forward to the game. I hope that despite the mistakes that were made that NIU makes some decent money on the game. I hope that the students enjoy playing at SF and I hope that we pull the upset which I know is unlikely. Win or lose I intend to have a blast this weekend!

If you want NIU to become a legit FBS program, get out there and support your team!

For those who have been paying attention, the criticism of the ticket prices is related to the fact that the less rabid fans, like many not on this message board, will not pay prices like that to see the game, and the proof is in the ticket sales numbers - not just the NIU fans are balking at it but the Wisconsin fans too.

I invited (i.e. tried to convince) six of my NIU alumni friends to go to the game with me. All of them declined and they all said it's because the tickets cost too much. These tickets just are not worth it to a casual fan. I'm sure they would have gone if I offered to pay for them, however I had to wrestle with whether to go to this game myself, and I don't have an extra $200 laying around. Sadly I'm going to the game by myself 03-weeping

I'm taking the BNSF line from La Grange. I already work downtown, so I have a monthly pass.

Brother-in law is picking me and the wife up in the western suburbs for the 1/2 hr drive to the 31st lot - 4 of us going. Don't want to deal with the hassel of getting to / from the train station and waiting for trains that run every two hours starting at 6:30 pm. Also gas and parking for four people costs less than 4 Metra tickets and 2 cab fares or 8 El/bus tickets. Plus we have too much tailgating stuff to try and carry on the train and through the city.
