O....M....G!!! It looks like his right side blindsided a Missouri or Georgia Tech player - and took the colors with him!
It looks like they could not make up their mind which uniform - and colors - they wanted.
My vote for the ugliest and most stupid uniform of all time. (Psst...Penn State, you are saved!)

http://www.netstate.com/states/symb/flags/md_flag.htm
Quote:
Officially adopted by law on March 9, 1904, the Maryland State Flag is the only state flag based on heraldic emblems. The design of the flag is taken from the shield in the coat of arms of the Calvert family, the colonial proprietors of the state of Maryland. The coat of arms adopted by George Calvert, the first Lord Baltimore, included a shield that combined the yellow and black colors of his paternal family and the red and white colors of his maternal family, the Crosslands. (NOTE: There is contention that the red and white colors identified as those of the Crosslands is a misrepresentation. It is said that the colors are those of the Mynne family, the family name of Anne Calvert, wife of George Calvert.)
The arms of the Calvert and Crossland (Mynne) families are displayed in diagonally opposing quadrants of the flag.

RE: New Jerseys in College Football
Finally I get my chance. Being an NIU Alumnus and living just outside DC in suburban Maryland with a son at the University of Maryland and having sent my daughter to the University of Oregon I have can pretend to have expertise in all these areas. First the people at Oregon love their uniforms and they love Phil Knight who pays for everything (i.e. the Knight school of business, the football stadium, the new basket ball arena, the track stadium [yes a stadium dedicated just to track], and a thousand other gifts). Now the University of Maryland has its own sugar daddy who pays for all the uniforms and many other gifts and Maryland loves him. In fact the whole Underarmor idea came out of a business plan that was done for a class at Maryland. So before you make fun of the uniforms think how nice it would be to have someone with deep pockets and cutting edge sports technology backing NIU.

No, thank you - not if we have to wear uniforms that look like that monstrosity!

I'd certainly be fine with us wearing garbage bags with the names and numbers spray painted on if it satisfied some crazy rich donor....but it doesn't mean I'd like how it looks.

Knight was a member of the track team @ Oregon.
