This isn't really for NIU but it takes a look at all the new jerseys in College Football this year. I guess this could be moved to S&N but thought it was interesting.
Nike's Pro Combat jerseys are hideous, especially Georgia's and Boise's.. They take over the NFL apparel next year, it could get even uglier
Georgia and Boise's unis were awesome.

Imagine if we had a Boise type alternative set with our Huskie on the helmet like their Bronco. That would be sick.
I used to think NIU was no more than average. We have at least moved up to top 1/4, if not more, if nothing more than because so many teams change their new uniforms to some sort of futuristic crap that sucks. Are uniforms are tasteful at least, no confusing the helmet with any one else.

3 teams last night had top 10 worst jerseys, with GA. leading the way. Georgia looked like Iron Man meets Power Rangers or something. Maybe from the old Johnny Socko series.Perhaps that was a reaction to Boise all blues. And the red strip on the helmet was hideous.

Didn't know Oregon switched from yellow and green to chartreuse to fire engine green all in a year or 2 time. Are they glow in the dark and for first responders?Any team wearing black on black should have their uniforms banned by the NCAA. Throw in that goofy looking steel look on the shoulders. Please. Looks like something from that pro football minor league

Boise and their emblem on one side. Bama, Steelers. Done it. Looked like a Halloween costume or a sign for the White Horse Bar. Writing on the pants: tacky

I am starting to believe it is more than $ in these uniforms like Oregon's 57 diffferent combos. I think it is something that has been tested in these schools' psychology department, as to give the other team headaches or make them look away, maybe even throw up. NCAA needs to step in on these teams wearing all on color, numbers too. You can barely make them out. Nike needs to get some new people older than 22 with nothing but a Major in graphics design and Minor in cartoons and sci-fi. Maybe someone who actually has watched college football. No idea how they get approved by people at the top. You can come up with some new uniforms and still look classy and not something so out there it has to make people notice, and notice how bad they look

And LSU has some of the best uniforms.
People who buy Oregon replica jerseys are mentally ill. Worst things I've ever seen. Down with Nike.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you're over 50 years old.
Interesting article about the Oregon uniforms:

Loved the Boise white unis. Georgia's were OK. Oregon can have some good combos but most of them are not to my liking.
Looking back on it, i think it was the helmets i disliked more than anything in that game.

The worst Oregon jersey is by far their bright yellow one. I like the color in the Pro Combat unis they were wearing last night, just hated the neon green outline. The other ones they have green, black, white aren't bad at all
I'm not over 50 years old, and my favorite jerseys are the simplest. The Oakland Raiders and Penn State have great jerseys and colors. I do like that teams are adding more helmet options...but a lot of teams are putting pit stains on their jerseys (I think NIU has as well) and tons of ridiculous lines/piping everywhere....

I can't wait for the first Jackson Pollock inspired jersey.
I wish Army would have worn their cammo unis. They are SWEET.

I agree
No kidding - I always laugh at Oregon's awful unis, but Maryland's are even worse! OMG!!
Did you hear that Maryland has like 15 different uniform combinations for this season? It's nice to have a a rich alum who owns a sports apparell company.

I think the number was 52. And they're all ugly.
Not all of maryland's unis are awful, but these are. Why they decided to put the state flag across the shoulder pads and helmet is beyond me.

Because EVERYONE is gonna talk about them...
Every single last Marylander has a huge fetish for their state flag. It's on everything, so it's no surprise they did this:
