It's d*ckheads like him that make me want Ron to run as an independent or third party. You spend decades trying to marginalize, ignore, and setup Ron Paul to lose? Fine. But payback is a b*tch.

It seems to me you believe that anyone not voting for Paul is doing so because they've been duped or brain washed. I'm not sure why you can't understand the issues many republicans have with this foreign policy views.

Perry beat Romney on a write in vote. Romney is no longer the front runner coming out of this.

Paul wins, I'll be voting 3rd party or writing in. I think the other 20% he believes in is fuken dangerous.

I believe the GOP leadership and establishment has spent an enormous amount of time, energy, and effort over the years to try to marginalize, humiliate, and eliminate Ron Paul. I hope he gets the last laugh.

Then again, the one getting the last laugh could be Iran and terrorists. Sorry GTS, his foreign policy is f'n crazy as F***.

So do I..but...I believe the best that can come out of this is to push his economic, and non interventionist policy....and....build a war chest for the CFL and Rand. Mark my word...Ron has lit the candle and it is NOT going out.... He just is most likely not going to be one to finally come to the forefront. I hope I am wrong and I will again knock on doors and will again contribute to his run.04-cheers

Actually, Perry, Romney, Gingrich and Huntsman didn't invest any money in the Ames straw poll, so i think these results were expected from them and I don't think any will drop out because of it. The big loser is Pawlenty. He invested everything he had into this and did everything he could to destroy Bachmann in the debate the other night. Finishing a distant 3rd might be the death knell for his campaign.

Are these the final results? Somehow I thought more than ~17,000 to vote in this thing

BTW, the fact that Santorum is the only one standing in the way of Cain taking 3rd, and since they're in Iowa, I look for Cain to overtake Santorum like gangbusters through the rest of the nation. May even overtake Bachmann.

This was actually a pretty good showing for Herman. I mean Iowa is not the place one would think a black conservative would draw a sniff. Maybe I just know nothing about Iowan's and HC's color is not a issue anyway with voters. It isn't with me.
