We've reportedly offered Jordan Garnett, a 6'6" SF from Indianapolis.
Evaluation: Jordan is a strong, athletic kid who runs the floor very well and is a great rebounder. This summer he turned some heads with the way he attacked the glass as well as with his ability to handle the ball and score on the interior. Along with his skills inside, Jordan is also a very good perimeter and mid-range shooter. This gives him the ability to stretch the defense and hurt you in a variety of ways. He has been playing very well to start the season and is quickly moving up our rankings. Hard worker and a good kid. (Indiana Recruiting Guide)
We are reportedly on the trail of Christ School (Arden, NC) point guard, Jon Elmore. I watched Elmore play in Arby's class this past year and was impressed with his leadership and overall skills.
Phenomhoopreport evaluation:
Player: 6’3 John Elmore
Class:2014
City: Charleston, West Virginia
High School: Christ School, Arden NC
Twitter Name: @elmore33
High School Coach: David Gaines
AAU Team: WV Wildcats
Interest: Alabama, WVU, Wake Forest, Notre Dame, Ohio University, VMI
Evaluation: A strong and heady PG that can simply do a little bit of everything on the court. While Elmore has a solid offensive skill set, the extremely athletic PG strongest attribute may be his ability to defend with his excellent on the ball defense. Elmore has been well coached and has a high basketball IQ and strong fundamentals that accompany his skill set and athleticism.

Uwadiae originally signed with Wichita State, but was not cleared to play by the NCAA. I was not able to find Uwadiae's stats on NJCAA's website or Kirkwood's athletic site. From reports, he sounds very raw, and also very promising.
The reality of landing a true '5' is that it's going to be a kid who's very raw and/or late to the game (Uwadiae apparently started playing a few years ago). It's a tough call. You may remember that we were diligently recruiting Njoku Ugochukwe, another Nigerian juco center, a few years ago. Now at University of Detroit, Ugochukwe has averaged only .9 ppg and 1.6 rpg after showing promise at Oakland C.C.
