Matt is writing out a will. Please tell me thats not setting up for a death, I've seen hinting online that someone is going to die at the end of the season thats a major character.

Weaver's convoy runs over a harnassed kid, that I swear fell out of a tree.

Harnassed Kid is right in the middle of the transformation to Skitter apparently, she looks awfully green. Matt seems to be developing his first crush on a half human half alien super kid...aww.

In other news, Pope seems to be hinting that Margret has a secret, that she doesnt want Hal knowing about. Made the comment about who or what you are. Wonder whats that about.

Episod is slowly progressing. Matt is attempting to convince the harnassed girl that she is actually human. We find out that harnassed kids are adopted into Skitter "families." With a skitter as "guardian." She is going on and on about her Siblings, whom she can sense. Oh look, one of them is attacking the convoy now...

Girl likes Matt but has to help her sibling. When Matt tries to stop her from leaving, she shoves him headfirst into the ground, knocking him unconscious. She sprints off for the woods.

Mags and Hal's scout vehicle breaks down with pope, Mags admits to Hal that when she was 18 she was living on drugs and breaking into houses, she was arrested, and had a child in prison, that she has never seen since.

Title of this episode is "Death March." A meaning Im trying to decipher.

They get to Charleston, and find it completely and utterly destroyed. Hal, Pope, and Mags get ambushed by Skitters trying to catch up with the rest of the group.

Weaver gives an emotional appeal to the group to keep their heads up, keep it together. They turn to leave and hear someone in the bushes. Weaver is ready to shoot, and it turns out to Colonel Porter. Who is still alive, he was assumed dead in episode 9 of season 1. He tells them the capital is in Charleston, and that its not in plain sight We find out that Hal and Margret werent ambushed by skitters, but instead, found by the continental army.

Next Week: The group is in Charleston, but everything is not as nice as it seems. No one trusts anyone.

Considering Jericho didnt last long...I hope not. My understanding is that the Aliens attack Charleston in the Season Finale.

This was a really slow developing episode, used mainly to bring some background stories into play. One of the writers commented on the after show that the skitters treated the human children as their own because of that small instinct of that former self inside then, that doesnt like what they are forced to do.

tonight, while slow, was a pooooowerful episode. I have become heavily invested in both the story and the characters, and this evening's episode moved me in many different moments.

"Charlston is Real." for those of you who have watched every episode like me, you will understand the gravity of those three words...thus far.

Charleston has represented Hope for this entire season. A place that the 2nd Mass marched to on the small hope that something is there, despite the fact they have no proof at all of it.

I know there were several of us, me included, who kept waiting for it to come out that Charleston didnt exist. In fact, I still halfway expect that the 2nd mass will find out that Charleston isnt what they want, and they end up leaving by the end of the season.

Anything is possible. I like that the writers have left it open and not jumped the shark already.

Sadly, we are beginning to reach the point where we get to sit for 10 months and wonder what will happen next.

Penultimate episode of the season tonight (What can I say, I watch the Olympics) Usually this episode is used to set up what will be the Season Finale, gives us a small ending cliffhanger, that makes us understand whats coming next. In season 1, it was Pope discovering Mech bullets, and Weaver overcoming his own drug issues to lead the 2nd mass into a battle they knew was hopeless.

This season, its the discovery of Charleston, and what lies in wait in the form of the continental army (seriously, enough revolutionary war terms people.) Meanwhile, I have to ask, how the heck did Porter survive that mess at the end of season 1 when the skitters ambushed them?

2nd Mass arrives in Charleston to a standing ovation:

Then...we learn things. Tom gets introduced to Arthur Manchester, who is his old history professor and the "majority leader" of charleston (They dont like the term president, being the place is not official) Weaver meets with the General of the continental army who informs him that they will not be neeed the 2nd mass millitary services. The General does not seem happy about this, and neither does Porter, and obviously Weaver.

Apparently Manchester was one of the first people to find the underground mall in which they live. He was immediately the outspoken leader of the first settlers, andd whenm more and more moved in, he made sure they knew it was he who provided them with 3 square meals a day. He now has complete control over the millitary, and has ordered the millitary to assume a defensive posture only. The Skitters believe Charleston is deserted, and they do not want that to change.

The 2nd mass is split up much to their dismay. Something very strange is going on.

Weaver meets his daughter, who made it to Charleston safely. When she split from the 2nd mass, her group was ambushed by Skitters, they got split in the chaos, and never met up again. As far as she knows, she was the only survivor, and she ran for Charleston. When she got to Charleston she begged for a patrol to search for then, and was refused by Manchester.

She leaves Tom and Weaver a warning. Be careful, Charleston is not what it seems. Tom finds a feast on day 1 is replaced by a meager food supply on day 2. The feast was in their honor. He also finds out he is the only one in his group that sleeps on a bed. Everyone else gets a tent.

Something is amiss.

Matt hears at school that everyone thinks tom made a deal with the Skitters to keep the 2nd mass safe. Im beginning to think everyone thinks this. Matt retaliates by knocking a kid's tooth out and is promptly suspended for a week.

Hal hears that few soldiers in the army have ever been in combat.

Pope goes on a weapon stealing binge. Mags interrups, but the army finds them. One of the beserkers resists, and is promptly shot.

This is communism at its finest.

There is a confidence vote scheduled for Manchester tonight. He's scared he may lose, and refuses to take any action.

Tom is in the middle of a speech about continuing to fight to the colony when a deharnnased kid arrives sent from the skitters. They have a message for Tom Mason

The red eye skitter wants to talk to Tom...Manchester refuses, orders the kid locked up, and for them to play dead. They argue

Manchester offers a deal with Pope...squeal on Tom, and he gets let out. Pope refuses, calling him a dictator.

Hal breaks Mags out...the game is afoot. They are escaping in the fields to try and find the red eye skitter. Dai is with them.
