I will agree with you there.

I think deep down the Big East is wishing they had taken us anyways...05-stirthepot

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
Football members only...

Toughest loss: Tie between Louisville and West Virginia. Third place to Pitt. From a geographic standpoint, it makes a lot of sense for these four universities to be linked together.

Easiest loss: Syracuse - private school, undesirable climate and location, not a recruiting hotbed for a midwestern school, no long-term linkage with UC. Presumably, Syracuse fans would feel similarly about UC as well.

Now that we're recruiting more heavily in Florida, USF has grown in its importance to the league.

From a basketball perspective, it's UofL and West Virginia at the top of the list. Conversely, the departure of Seton Hall and Providence would not upset most UC fans. We have much, much deeper ties to DePaul and Marquette due to long-term conference affiliations (Great Midwest, CUSA, Big East).

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
Hardest to Lose: Louisville or Pitt. Louisville because of our history with them, and Pitt because they're by far the strongest school in the conference from top to bottom, and they're right in the middle geographically so their absence would eliminate much of the geographic cohesion in the conference.

Easiest to lose: USF. The things they bring that are important to the other schools (access to Florida recruits and allowing old, retired alums who live in Florida to see a game every other year) aren't as important to UC as to the Northeastern schools.

Most like to add: At this point, the only schools who would be willing to join us are undesirable to add.

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
Hardest to lose: Syracuse, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh they ARE the Big East. On a lesser scale Louisville would be bad to lose too.

Easiest to lose: Cincinnati, USF, Rutgers, UConn, TCU.

Most like to add: ECU

The Big East without Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and West Virginia is like the ACC without Duke and UNC, it just wouldn't be the same league. The CUSA schools (minus Louisville) are new and it wouldn't hurt the league as much to lose them. Rutgers just isn't desirable to me they had 1 season in their history where they did something...UConn would hurt due to their national brand but not as much as the 4 I have as hardest to lose. TCU we can do fine without them do they help hell yeah but there would be 0 harm in losing them.

ECU gives us the best football team available.

Hardest to lose: Pitt and Syracuse

Easiest to lose: No one really other than Villanova, all have had some success at one time or another. I would trade Rutgers to get all four below. Only because they seem to be going the wrong direction without a coaching change to cause it.

Most like to add: Penn State, Va tech, Notre Dame or Ohio State (any three of the four)

Part 1; Which one conference mate would you most not want to lose (in Football) and why? Part 2; Which conference mate would be the least hard for you to lose and whom would you replace them with if you could pick?

C-USA fans and other conference fans are allowed to chime in as well, but try to keep it about the conference you are currently in.

1) There are really four for me. In this order, WVU, Syracuse, Pitt, Louisville.

2) Cincy

Replace with BYU, TxTech

In reality I don't really want to kick anybody out from the football side; I like this conference as it is.

Toughest loss: WVU

Easiest loss: No one else would be a painful loss. I'll say Cincinnati, and replace them with Houston.

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
For me in the ACC,

Toughtest to lose : UNC - Yeah we'd have 3 North Carolina schools but the ACC just wouldn't be the same without the Tarheels.
Easiest to lose : Wake
Would replace with : Florida

For the Big East,

Toughest to lose : WVU - the bowl deals would fall to sh*t if WVU wasn't in the conference.
Easiest to lose : Rutgers
Would replace with : Penn State

Toughest team for The Big East to lose: WVU

No team in The Big East would be easy to replace. If that were the case we would already have 12 football programs.

WVU. They are the only real state school in the conference.

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
WVU is Big East football IMO...They have the best fan base that supports their team no matter what.
TCU is a good program but does not fit the Big East and will not cause any kind of fan growth because we can't travel to the games which is what make a conference fun...As good as TCU has been they should be adding seats to the stadium not reducing the size.

I would replace TCU with either ECU, Memphis, UCF, Marshall or Temple as the realistic choices.

I am just glad some of these posters are not college presidents.

Yeah let's get rid of UCONN, one of the founding original BE member, who just happen to deliver the entire state of CT and parts of NYC/Boston. Oh, who just happen to won majority of BE championships since the new alignment and have excellent academics.

Let's keep all the tiered-3 and tiered-4 academic schools that don't carry their states, don't win much championships and not in any great TV markets. Let's build a great conference that way. Let's turn this into CUSA II and get more crappy schools 03-lmfao

If I had a choice, I would get rid of all those tiered-3 and 4 academic schools and send them packing. One original BE member I don't mind get rid of is Pitt. They choke on everything. Rutgers if only if they don't improve in all sports.

I am really glad some of the posters here are not college presidents.

RE: BIG EAST MEMBERS SURVEY
In C-USA, the hardest team to lose would be Memphis/ECU/UCF. They all bring different things to the table.
The easiest to lose would probably be Tulane or UTEP. I'd be sad to lose either, but UTEP is just way out there and it just seems like Tulane can't get football or basketball going again.

UConn deserves the same scorn for cheating as does Memphis. As much as everyone talks trash on SEC schools for cheating in football, there are few programs with more dirt than UConn basketball.
