Yes. The word I have heard from some of our insiders is that the MWC contacted Houston's administration and UH told them they were not interested. The MWC without TCU and Utah (and BYU, after the fact) doesn't get UH anywhere it wants to go. Presumably also because Houston was already in some kind of communication with the Big East.

After the mass exodus from the MWC, I do not think UH would want to be in the MWC.
It is BCS or stay where we are at and continue to build.

Great thanks, coog fans. From what you all said, it makes sense why UH would opt for the status quo instead of making essentially a lateral move to the MWC now that Utah, BYU, and TCU are gone.

Yeah...essentially it would be status quo, except television access would be worse (Mountain Network and Versus instead of ESPN/now probably Fox), and increased travel expenses. The MWC does have a slightly better television payout, but that probably wouldn't offset the travel costs. Plus, it is unknown what kind of TV deal the MWC will get in their next negotiation after the loss of TCU/Utah/BYU.
