Yes. But some around here apparently think that just because Kentucky has a tobacco-road like dedication to basketball and the rest of the SEC doesn't, this means the rest of the SEC doesn't care about basketball, which is silly.

For the most part they don't, unless their team is doing well. I remember how empty Thompson-Boling was when Tennessee wasn't very good. There used to be 10 times the support for women's basketball, compared to the men's program...

I was stationed in Louisiana during the 90s and really saw very little interest in basketball in that state. It was all LSU Football & Baseball. They did not even broadcast the SEC Tournament except what was on network tv.

I was @ Fort Polk between 93-96 so I did miss the Shaq years lol. I was amazed because I just assumed they would show the SEC Tournament but they didn't on the Alexandria stations.

They didn't play much of anything on the Alexandria stations when I was at Ft. Polk. But since I was in boot camp, I didn't get to pay it much attention...

Cal to the Cuse - that would be his supreme dream job - big splash as well.

I think Cal is already at his dream job. He wouldnt leave Kentucky for SU. Kentucky is Kentucky. Besides, we dont want someone like him at Cuse. But he could really tear it up up here.

I was kidding BTW.

Don't try and bring facts into an SEC-bash fest. What's funny is that SEC fans could say the same thing about Big East football as what Cardinal Jim is saying and Big East fans would get butt hurt about it.

SEZ bought those just like they bought the football championship this year. Cam didn't know...lol Anyone that believes they SEZ doesn't cheat every opportunity they get is kidding themselves. It's a fact UK has been caught cheating every decade since the conference began. And it still goes on today...

The NCAA would love to hear from anyone who can prove Auburn did any wrongdoing. Until then just chalk it up to the typical SEC envy.

UK isnt Cal's dream job. He didnt grow up dreaming about coaching Kentucky basketball. If he did have a dream job it would be Pitt or Kansas.

WTS, in 4 years Cal will be looking for a lifeboat from the coming NCAA infractions at Kentucky.

They are hearing from plenty of sources in and out of the SEC that are upset how the whole Cam Newton fiasco went down. If they choose to do anything is another story. Let's just wait and see what happens.

Careful you'll be accused of being a SEZ hater for pointing out the obvious here by so-called Big East fans that spend their time here kissing ACC and SEZ a$$.

Ok, so another way of putting this is you have no answer to my question.

I just love seeing how jealous fans here can get. It's funny. By the way how do you feel about an SEC coach having to be the one to save the trash heap that was Louisville football? Charlie Strong must be dirty right? He did coach in the SEC.

So in other words, the SEC is not protecting Auburn, plenty of SEC programs think where there is smoke there's fire and think Auburn did wrong to get Cam, and want that to be thoroughly investigated.

Personally, i agree: It's implausible that Auburn got Cam for "free" when daddy was shopping him around. And when they cleared him to play late in the season, the NCAA did not conclude that Auburn was in the clear with Cam, they only said that at that time, there wasn't evidence of wrongdoing to justify making him ineligible.

But as the Reggie Bush case shows, these investigations can continue, and if the smoking gun is found, Auburn will likely have to return all of that hardware they won.
