WMU @ NIU
Season is almost over folks.

Huskies will enter a 5 game stretch of extremely winnable games.

The stretch includes 3 home games against the Michigan schools, @ lowly Toledo, and home against Seattle (9-15, only second year in Div. I).

Huskies lost a close one in Kalamazoo early this season. Silas goes for 30 again, and gets some help from his teammates this time.

Huskies 80
Broncos 78

dogsled is seemingly heading down not uphill.

We follow up a not so awful effort vs Kent with a lackluster & error prone game vs WMU.

My crystal balls foresee Silas forcing shots early and struggles but recovers to lead NIU scoring with 19.

BTW: Did I hear announcer correctly during Kent game saying "Red" for Jeremy Landers.

Perhaps it's not only my ***** but also hearing beginning to fail me.

Buckaroos 76
Mushers 63

I'm pretty sure "Red" is his nickname (like Morgan Freeman in Shawshank Redemption).

RE: WMU @ NIU
I agree, the next 5 games are very winnable and we need to win at least four of them, if only for sanity's sake. It'd be nice to avoid another 20 loss season. Not sure that's going to happen.

We've fallen into the 300's in rpi. Sigh. It's bad times right now. 3 of our opponents (2 we play at home) in this stretch are also in the 300's.

RealtimeRPI (I have no idea if they are reputable or not. The RPI pickings are kind of slim and ugly that I've seen...) actually predicts we will win 5 straight! (I tried posting a link and it kept failing...so, I decided to remove it and go hide in a cave.) Then Ball State will crush us in the regular season finale. I'd sooooooo settle for that.

I want to predict a win, so I will. The return of a healthy Bryan Hall will....haha, just kidding.

NIU 74, WMU 68.

I believe we can win all six of our remaining games but probably only win three or four.

I think Xilas snaps off and we win a close one night. We had the last game vs them there, and let is slip away.

Is Hall back for sure? Do we have our full team again?

Quote:Ricardo Patton watched the film from Northern Illinois’ game at Western Michigan for the first time Monday and got mad all over again.

If this is indeed a fact, I am appalled (not that I wasn't before). But really? You just NOW watched the game film from a game you played weeks ago?

Quote:“I’m not in a very good mood today with these guys,” Patton said. “We didn’t de-
fend in the second half
. You’ve got to defend for all 40 minutes. So we’re going to watch the game film again after we get done with practice.”

Have we defended anyone, any half, all season? I'm glad he just realized that defense is this team's main problem. Not like the season is almost over.

It depends on who you mean by everyone.

Nixon and Bolin played briefly on Saturday so there is a chance they suit up tonight.

I doubt Hall will play. Hamstring injuries take time to heal and Hall can use the extended lay-off to take a break mentally.

The Chronicle said Hall was a full go in practice and would probably start tonight.

Bolin was in street clothes on Saturday. He did not play.

Erroneous on all counts on my part. Just ignore my post.

Bolin hasn't played in the last 4 games.

Frisky Buiscuit says the chronicle reporting Hall will play and start tonight.

Any word on Nixon?

Broncos drop 38 in the first half.

Way to defend all 40 minutes.

Edit: Broncos shooting .571% from the field
