I've got a picture somewhere around here from the blizzard of 1978 in West Virginia. We got 27" of snow in about 18 hours, and it snowed steadily off and on for about 3 days afterward. I'm standing there using an old coal shovel to clear the driveway, and there's piles of snow taller than I am on both sides of the driveway, where I've already cleared - working my way slowly downhill (always remember to let gravity do some of the work for you and it goes more easily)...

I'll have to scan it so you could see. I was probably about your age back then...

I am no amateur, cuse. You must remember, my sister lives in one of the snow belts outside of Utica. I've seen the snow you guys get. I'm not impressed by your claims. West Virginia winters are harder, especially on the top of the higher mountains where I grew up...
