I can't believe he's still alive.

If I ever make a list of things I was tortured by my parents with as a kid, Country Boy Eddie would top that list. Man I hated that show.

I have seen him several times at the Gardendale Cracker Barrel.

I would watch him when getting ready for school when I was little.

I practically grew up on his farm. He lived down the road from my grandparents, and went to high school with my dad.

I appeared on his show a lot when I was little. I hated it, because I had to get up at 3 a.m. to go to the station with him. I would sleep on the set until he woke me and a group of other kids up to be in a skit or just appear to enjoy listening to him sing.

I was on the show once when I was in kindergarten. It was the year of the Alabama Reunion and our class did I've Been Working on the Railroad. That is the earliest I've ever gotten up in my entire life.

Hey Grammar, did you ever sing Burger & Fries & Cherry Pies on the show?

The Charley Pride guy lip synched the song.

That might be his father.

I was watching the credits in the show & it seemed like CB had every last little Burns relative involved.

There also is a Burns' BBQ place in Warrior.

He may own that as well.

Burns Barbecue in Warrior is indeed owned by Country Boy Eddie. The sausage biscuit and gravy breakfast there helped make me the man I am today.

And I did indeed sing that damn song. And I hate you for reminding me of it.

Wow, I was just kidding.

I didn't think anyone sung that song besides the Charley Pride guy.

My dad has been in the farm equipment business since the 70s. In the mid 80s he opened up his own tractor dealership in Clanton. I remember not too long after he did he went on Country Boy Eddy promoting it. I couldn't have been more than 5 or 6. We have it on video tape somewhere. It was definitely a favorite with the farmers.
