RE: OT Army-ND Gamethread
I like Army's version of the option. It seems a little different than Navy's but the same cut block schemes. I think this style could transfer to a nice spread/jet style offense.

How does Notre Dame give up a first down after having a 2nd and long? They're totally lacking in defensive discipline and no one is covering their man...

I like these Army jerseys...having "West Point" on the back instead of the name is a nice touch.

Army 3-0.

I am still nervous about this game. So far, so good.

The Rees interception from the Army five yard line on ND's opening drive about drove me nuts......

Notre Dame gets a pick-six, now lead 24-3.

Looks like the Irish will be bowl eligible after tonite, and will have a shot to take the Champs bid versus USC.

yeah, army doesn't run the triple option as efficiently as navy, LOL.

We'll all be USC fans next week.

True true, i'm down to root for the Trojans.

Army's offense seemed to be more of a Wing T triple offense than a Flexbone.

RE: OT Army-ND Gamethread
Southern Cal lost their starting QB (Matt Barkley) and RB (Marc Tyler) to injuries tonight.

They also lost to Oregon State 36-7 for their fourth loss of the year.

I still think that this ND team is too young and injured and thus currently lacks the offensive firepower to beat USC in the Colisieum next week.

I hope I am wrong. I still ***** about Kelly not kicking that game winning field goal against Tulsa. He had a good chance to go 8-4 in his first year if he just takes that chip shot FG.

Yes, with some good luck, ND could easily be 9-2 right now, have three more wins, over MSU, Tulsa, and Michigan. Terrible luck with the injuries.

And whereas up until today i gave ND little chance to beat USC, with USC's performance and injuries, i'd now say you guys have about a 33% chance.

Way too high for comfort re the Big East's Champs Sports bid. If ND beats USC, you'll get it for sure.
