I seriously doubt Temple would have won that game even if Pierce played. They got shutdown in the second half and looked absolutely lost on offense.

As I posted in the other thread, they had 91 yards of offense in the final 3 quarters, including a 2nd quarter when Pierce played the whole thing and they racked up a grand total of 20 yards. Like you said, PSU had adjusted after the first quarter and had them figured out even before he got hurt.
You just aren't going to beat a team like PSU with that kind of offensive ineptitude, although Temple made a good go of it.
That Temple team is good and will win a lot of games if the QB stays out of the way.

How many times are you going to post the same thing?

RE: MAC Upsets
I was at the Iowa/Ball St. game and Ball State is brutally bad. Most plays in the first half they weren't even starting Kelly Page which was odd seeing that he played all of last year and even though Iowa has a great D, Ball States offense is pathetic. They couldn't get the ball past the 50 yd. line until the 3rd quarter. Should be able to put a for sure big W for that one when we play em. Surprised that some people said that they had improved from the past year....

NU game. CMU scored late and went for two to cut the lead to three where they could on-side kick, recover and kick FG to tie. On the play the NU noseguard CLEARLY jumped early and got in the backfield and disrupted the two point attempt, which failed. That was the ball game! No Offsides call. Nothing! One of the announcers kin of said that someone was calling for offsides, but "the network" cut away to some promo and NEVER showed a replay or commented on how, yeah - that nose guard was off sides! CMU should get 1/2 distance to goal and try again. NO, nothing. It was IMPOSSIBLE to miss that call, yet somehow they did.
I am not one for conspiracy theories, but man, this stuff is a little much to consistently ignore! You look at the play before say anything. Unless you already saw it, in which case, say something!
The Big Ten officials have definaely, purposely cost the MAC a number of games over the years, we nned to get more 1 and 1's and 2 and 1's to even the playing field. Sick of losing to those idiots by 4, 6, at their stadiums with their refs. NIU loss to Wisky forever ago still stings, the refs literaly handed them our W on a silve platter.
Please explain the conspiracy in detail. Who commands it and how is it carried out? Does the Big Ten conference have secret meetings with their officials on the topic? Does money exchange hands between the conference and the officials? Is the NCAA in cahoots with the Big Ten and its officials? Inquiring minds want to know.
