Not having seen any of the game, I'm just going to assume the refs screwed UConn. We all know that's the only way the vastly superior talent of UConn could ever lose a game. 03-wink

That being said, congrats Bulls!

The Bulls are going to beat somebody in the Garden. Who, I dont know, but I dont want Cuse to meet them. But I would rather meet them than Pitt or the Ville. 03-lmfao

Well, if you meet Pitt, it can't be until the BET Championship and I know we'd both be pleased with that, no matter who wins--but I'm sure the Cuse wouldn't be pleased unless they won it all.

I wouldn't look past DePaul (and I realize you're not). They're another big city team that can handle the pressures of the Garden better than most. It's one of the reasons an 0-18 DePaul team actually won in the first round last year (this is normally where I would segue into my rant about how they never should have been in the tournament in the first place, but I digress...). If I was a betting man (oh wait, I am), I would name DePaul/USF my upset special for Day One of the tourney. Don't forget DePaul only lost to USF by 4 when they played recently (although that game was in Chicago, and the score was slightly closer than it perhaps should have been). Put your money on the Blue Demons and the points folks.

I wouldnt take that bet. DePaul plays better at hme and I saw that game, USF looked horrible for most of the game had they played average not even good they would had won by 10 or more.
We shall see but I think USf takes DePaul

Where's SF Husky? Has he gone into hibernation? Or did he go to jail for attacking the officials that screwed UConn? We all know there's no way they lose without help from the officials...

Well, they didn't get help from the officials in 11 of their 18 conference games then. Those officials really don't like UConn do they? 03-lmfao

LOL. Dude I don't hang around the house during the day watching games. Had to catch it on delay. Anyway, good win for the Bulls. Congrats on beating UCONN for the 1st time. It seems we got a lot of 1sts this year.

Calhoun benched seniors for the entire second half. UCONN played with mostly freshmen during the 2nd half. Dyson, Robinson and Edwards were all sitting on the bench the just about the entire 2nd half. UCONN seniors didn't show and Calhoun said he should have benched in the ND game. This is one ugly UCONN season. Calhoun also said those seniors won't start in the BET either. Little used UCONN freshmen actually made a run in the 2nd half and got pretty close in the final secs of the game.

Amount of close losses this season is mind boggling. Cuse (thanks to Cahill), UL (2nd Game on final shot), GTOWN (gave up 19 points lead), Cincy (1st game thanks to Cahill), Kentucky (couple of missed FTs), Marquette (last sec miracle FG), Michigan (final sec). There isn't much seperating team's current record vs. a much better record.

Refs had nothing to do with this game or why UCONN lost. They simply didn't show. That being said, refs screwed UCONN during the CUSE game and nothing will change that fact. Knowing how fragile mentally this team is, that Cuse loss probably also contributed greatly to how poorly they played against Cincy the following game.

Cuse losing again just shows there is very little seperating the top from the bottom. BET should be wide open as I have been saying for a while now.

I have no idea which team will show up for UCONN in the BET. The Jeykll and Hyde mentality of this team is going overboard. Can they make a run? They certainly got the talent. Will they? Who the hell knows at this point.

After watching both played bunch of times, Stanley is right there with Wes Johnson skill wise. There isn't much seperating the two other than that Johnson plays on a better team right now.

Below are the stats for both players YTD.

Wesley Johnson #4 F
2009-10 STATS
PPG APG 3P% RPG BPG SPG
15.6 2.5 .379 8.6 1.9 1.7

Stanley Robinson #21 F
2009-10 STATS
PPG APG 3P% RPG BPG SPG
15.2 1 .361 7.8 1.2 1

Stanley's game is more suited for the NBA than college.

Of course, having a clue what you are talking would be a new experience for you. 03-lmfao

RE: Bulls 75 UConn 68
All I know is that USF led at the half by two when ALL the UConn starters were playing and won by 7 in the second half in which it led by up to 14 points.Opened up the second half with a 10-1 when UConn still had all their starters. USF won this game because they played better and wanted it more. Case closed.

USF won that game because Dominique Jones and Augustus Gilchrist are studs. I don't think UConn had any input in the discussion...

I couldn't agree more. The differences between Depaul and Syracuse are trifling at best. They're basically the same team.

Considering Cuse barely beat Depaul, you might be right 03-lmfao

Cuse won 59-57 against Depaul when they played. Also, Depaul lead most of the game until the final sec.

The way UCONN been playing lately they probably couldn't beat Yale. Seriously, there is something wrong between the ears with these guys. USF is a nice team, but this is kind of the team UCONN normally would have no trouble beating in the past. It is what it is.
